This page is for discussion of stuff related to the game coming up this week, no matter when that actually is. For instance, we can all assume Nate isnt coming for some lame reason and that Ed is sick of pizza and is bringing teriyaki or some other crap. They can post something here if that happens to be untrue.

--Edmiao we should decide on next week's agenda. if Exemplars, we need Gabe and Jason to give a "yea" vote. otherwise, i figure matt needs to know so he can prep for wfrp. And what is the estimated start date of this game? is there some nebulous thing about the game will start when Matt #2 moves to seattle, which could be anywhere from next week to next July?

--Matts Just to let people know, I'll be out of gaming for the 9th, the 16th, and the 23rd of November. I'll have wfrp material well in hand by Friday if people want to run wfrp.

BEN: Is age of mythology the one we played last time? I wasn't terribly impressed with it, thought it was a bit of a static game. My friend is almost certainly coming.

--Edmiao 14:22, 19 October 2007 (MST) I was trying to remember who we played that with last time. i recall it wasn't such a good game that we played. the problems were that it is really ideal for 3 players, maybe 4 and we had like 5 or 6? which made the game too short. it's a very good game for 3 players, worth another try. I could stop by home and pick up cosmic encounter, the new version. or carcassone or roborally, some of my other favorites.

BEN: well, it will probably be me, you, and Mike (friend from work) unless you are bringing more people: if we have 4+ I say we play settlers, if we have 3, we can play age of mythology again. It does seem like it would be cooler with less people, that way there are more turns too.

--Matts 15:28, 19 October 2007 (MST)OK, I might show up for a bit; it turns out that Rina has some kind of important meeting with some kind of important Japanese man tonight. Kind of a bummer, but I've got to spend significant time tonight cleaning my house, buying plastic to put down on the floor, carving the hearts out of virgins, what have you... so I'll stop by to show off my spiffy new laptop, play a round of something, chitchat. Then it's off to home and getting work done, though I plan on being thoroughly drunk to offset the drudgery.

--Matts 17:26, 19 October 2007 (MST)I was gonna take the night off for a few reasons: one, general break, two, spend time with rina, three, I'm woefully underprepared for the next few steps in WFRP - I need to fill out Nuln as a setting, etc. Rina is busy for most of the night entertaining an important client, so I figure I can stop by for a board game.

--Edmiao 17:33, 19 October 2007 (MST) I guess that makes my question above re next weeks game all the more important. as to wfrp Are we going to promply leave Nuln next session? because Dementis is almost all the way back at that other town, I think. suppose he could magically appear. You know, I'm kinda worried that WFRP Reboot is going to pull a Gemini. all the characters, including mine, seem to have nothing in common and spend the greater part of the session pursuing secret or private agendas/activities.

The Next Step in Exemplars

--Edmiao 20:13, 7 October 2007 (MST) y'all who making characters.... consider saving some points for a community base of operations. Jason and I had a concept that my character's company could be a base for the group. I have allocated 43 character points for a 217 point base, which should make the majority of the base, other characters can donate points to make additions. Base still needs to be designed, anything you want on a wish list? see Venture Industries HQ for a first draft of potential base.

--Jason 11:04, 8 October 2007 (MST)Exemplars primer: Everyone is always allowed to read any page that doesnt say secret in the name or specifically address individual characters or players. More world events and history is yet to come, I hope to have a good world for you all soon.

Clarification

Pages with a player's name in them are specific to that player and therefore secret.

Be prepared for storytelling devices. In other words, we may, in the middle of a session, switch to a flashback and hand out new characters for everyone. Or we might start a session this way. This might not always be mentioned ahead of time.

For Nate: Feel free to come whenever you want. I can always find a good NPC for you to play. Some will have secrets, however, and in these cases you will need to be discreet about that. Only tell players things if it makes good sense.
