This page is for discussion of stuff related to the game coming up this week, no matter when that actually is. For instance, we can all assume Nate isnt coming for some lame reason and that Ed is sick of pizza and is bringing teriyaki or some other crap. They can post something here if that happens to be untrue.

Attendance and Food preference

1/26/07

--Dieter the Bold 07:15, 25 January 2007 (MST) I'll be there. But the question is, where should I be? I'm also interested in pizza.

--Edmiao 11:26, 25 January 2007 (MST) I'm in. I'll do pizza as well

--BenofZongo 11:06, 26 January 2007 (MST)Heather's grandfather passed away last night, so I'm not sure if I will be able to attend tonight. I'll keep you guys posted as I know more. It wasn't unexpected, in fact, it was highly expected: he's been deteriorating rapidly in the past few weeks and they took him off his feeding tube earlier in the week (he had basically lost consciousness). I'm still hoping I can game, but heather doesn't want to be alone this evening so I'm just playing it by ear. She may be having some sort of family gathering, but who knows. And since matt has advertised his newfound power, make him get the pizza: he is the GM, it is sort of his responsibility and all :).

--Edmiao 11:25, 26 January 2007 (MST) jeez. that's awful. well, at least it wasn't unexpected. you could stay home and put her to bed early and then ditch out. it is the big trial tonight, probably.
for others, I'll try to pick up costco pizza tonight, as long as they let me thru the door without a card, unless deiter wants to use his card.

--Matts 12:32, 26 January 2007 (MST)I can use my newly minted costco card!

--Matts 12:41, 26 January 2007 (MST)Right, you're all getting Hairy Scrotum pizza, and I'll just get a slice of pepperoni at the store!

--Edmiao 13:06, 26 January 2007 (MST) I had my fill of hairy scrotum from your mom last night. or she had her fill? fuck! so matt is on pizza duty. see y'all tonight

--BenofZongo 13:08, 26 January 2007 (MST)I want to know why matt is so averse to pizza duty. It's like he's on some reality TV show "Pizza Tag" or some shit like that. "Freeloader Academy" maybe.

--Matts 15:02, 26 January 2007 (MST)I'm not averse to pizza duty, it's just that a) I never have cash and b) it takes forever to go to costco, which is time I'd rather spend gaming. Of course, since nobody delivers to Jason's house, costco it is. However, I can't guarantee its timliness, as I have work to do and probably won't get out of here until 6:30, which means lord knows how long it'll take to get to jason's.

--BenofZongo 15:45, 26 January 2007 (MST)Ok, so i just got the "I'd prefer you stayed home tonight.", complete with guilt trip about my "rigidity" regarding gaming, so whatever intermediate options might have existed are pretty much closed now. Sorry I'm missing the last night of WHFRP, especially on such short notice. Guess I'll see y'all next week.

--Edmiao 15:48, 26 January 2007 (MST) sometimes you gots to do what you gots to do. costco is like on the way to jason's, you know.

--Matts 16:38, 26 January 2007 (MST)Don't sweat it, ben. It's certainly not going to be the big happy days montage or nothing. Where's the costco?

--67.183.58.127 17:50, 26 January 2007 (MST)So if gaming makes you rigid, why do you need Heather? Just wondering...hehe Had to break the mood a little, but dont feel bad. Sometimes these things happen, you do what you must. Pass my condolences along to her as well.

--Edmiao 18:21, 26 January 2007 (MST) the costco is at 1175 N 205th St, Shoreline, WA. take I-5 north, get off at the 244th street exit and follow the signs towards the edmonds ferry. but when the street curves to the right you keep going straight. its in the shopping center with home despot at 244th and aurora. then to get to jasons just go north on aurora to 201st and take a right, then a right onto 61st

Other random comments to the group

--BenofZongo 00:33, 16 January 2007 (MST)Against my better judgement, I am preparing, by popular demand, a "horror" one shot for the Saturday before my Bday (Feb 10th). The title of the one-shot is "The House of Usher". Somewhere in Northeastern Hungary, October, 1945. Characters will be pregen, and the system we will be using is Cyberpunk.
So far I have 5/6 players for the one shot on Feb. 10th: last call for signups will be this friday, when I will be handing out characters for the players' perusal (remember, no sharing of info). After that, only the most pitiful display will gain you entrance into that elite cadre, and you will be forced to make do with the dregs, as it were.

The next step in WHFRP

--Matts 22:27, 19 November 2006 (MST)Cleared out old discussion. I'm going to do a few things from now on, I hope: I'll put links to new material I've made that is especially relevant to the current section.

Tilea

Miragliano

Norsca

For these pages, if only the player involved wouild read it, that'd be great, cause that means less drop pods. Also, if you guys could put your motivations and thoughts about your characters on these pages, that'd be great.

IMPORTANT NOTE FROM THE GM: whether you like it or not (i mean, hopefully you like it), the storyline is moving in the direction of intrigue, plots, and large-scale events. That's all fine and dandy, but the intrigues I've set up and the macro-scale activity happening 'behind the scenes' doesn't mean anything if those events don't have a reflection in the players.

Which is to say, unless the players have a personal stake in large-scale events (even including being avowedly against being involved in them), those events won't mean anything.

So, if you could take a moment, and put on your secret page what's 'at stake' for your character, then I'd be greatly obliged. I'm not asking for general motivations, but an answer to this question: "What does the Empire mean to you?" The answer can be as specific as "von Teumar" or "my brother Billy", or as general as "Power", or even "Nothing". But if the Empire doesn't mean anything to your character, then the direction the plot is going to move won't really have a lot of resonance, so we should figure that out now.

The Next Step in PA

PA Recap: [[2]]

--Edmiao 10:07, 19 December 2006 (MST) if you guys want those night vision goggles and climbing gear back you might want to check the bandit camp again in the morning.

ben here. Just some quick notes. First off, I know the players on friday were a bit railroaded into meeting the first group of alts...sorry about that, but getting new characters into the story ain't always easy. Anyways, just because I forced the introduction, doesn't mean that the new characters and the old characters have to work together at all. I think that there are some mutual interests and some possibilities for assistance to be exchanged, but don't feel like you HAVE to stick together in any way just cause I introduced them. This, likewise, goes for the second group of alts. Also, I apologize that things were again a bit scattered, this time due largely to problems with the power outage and some of our missing players. I understand that this was due to circumstance, so hopefully things will get underway properly next session.

--Edmiao 10:10, 19 December 2006 (MST)I don't think we were railroaded, actually i think we almost missed the introduction. On retrospect, it was a rather stupid idea for Grant and Shennong to go out of the valley alone. they should have returned to look for Sarah elsewhere, maybe Falls. and then should have been better prepared for leaving the valley with healing herbs and such prepared.

--Dieter the Bold 20:12, 2 January 2007 (MST) Grant votes going back to Edgewood, and would like to have passed out after the fighting died down from the PolyCell-V. This way he can wake up with a little more centered perspective on the new arrivals. He'd be much more amenable to being friendly and helping them into the valley in return for further aid.
