Revision as of 03:09, 3 December 2008

This page is for discussion of stuff related to the game coming up this week, no matter when that actually is. For instance, we can all assume Nate isnt coming for some lame reason and that Ed is sick of pizza and is bringing teriyaki or some other crap. They can post something here if that happens to be untrue.

--Gdaze 02:30, 30 November 2008 (MST) Whoa Ed, something going on then? Big vaca?
--Dieter the Bold 13:55, 30 November 2008 (MST) I'll be there for sure.

--Brandon 12:27, 2 December 2008 (MST) Present. Pizza por favor.

Edmiao its plans in flux and the holidays. i wanted to post so that ben could plan to not have my character as "required" for a session.

BEN: Obviously present. since we're losing players left and right, I will say that i'm prepared to GM with 2 players: next session should be combat light so numbers shouldn't be too important. HOWEVER, if we don't get at least 3 affirmatives (I'm counting 2 right now, Dieter and Brandon), it'll be up to the players if we actually want to assemble.

--Gdaze-- I'm in. For magic as well, need me some magics!

--Brandon 01:09, 3 December 2008 (MST) Next session will only be combat light if you consider me sticking my spear up that dragon's ass "combat light"! ; )

BEN: I've found a new roommate, for a couple of months at least. He seems like a cool dude and I've explained gaming to him and he says he's fine with it. So for now we're good to go.

--Brandon 10:50, 26 November 2008 (MST) Does this mean we now have to keep our pants on while gaming?

JASON: Ah yes, the woebegone pantsless gaming days of yore...

Edmiao of course we do not have to keep our pants on. can't you read? ben said he esplained gaming to the guy and he was fine with it. however, in the immortal words of some 80's pop singer "We don't have to take our clothes off To have a good time, oh, no "

GABE: If I have to wear pants, whats the point in even gaming? RON PAUL!

JASON: What does Ron Paul have to do with Gabe's pants? Sadly, I really want to know this.

GABE: All part of his amazing economic plan...

So nobody down for some magic today? I gotz nothing on my plate today...

BEN: as an aside from this fascinating conversation: I certainly don't KNOW this, but I am definitely getting the vibe from my new roommate that he may be gay. The only reason I mention this is that, if he is, some of our jokes at the gaming table may not be construed as humor but rather as cruelly homophobic. So, for now, please refrain from that stuff during game time. As a replacement standard, inappropriate perjorative, matt has suggested "honky". I fully support this idea.

--Dieter the Bold 21:21, 1 December 2008 (MST) I think we can simply tone it down to referring to everything as "gay". Or knocking the Jews. As the proud former-roommate of an intensely gay man and a German speaking Jew from New Jersey (not the same time), I feel safe in going either route, and I extend this privilege to the rest of you. Because we're friends. Or we could simply go with Gabe's pantsless gaming theme, with the caveat that underwear must be worn, and also must be of Speedo or European fashion. That should make everyone feel equally uncomfortable. As a side to Ben, if I agree with your gay-dar assessment, I am so looking up Charles and inviting him up for a session.

GABE: I'm gonna wear my leather thong with studs, that cool then? Well I'll keep the gay talk down as long as Brandon stops sucking my dick.

Edmiao you all are so gay. oops.

--Brandon 12:26, 2 December 2008 (MST) As Gabe indicates, I sure do love me some hot honky oral sex action. In fact, this is a good opportunity for me come out honestly to you all and let you know that I am 100% honky, and have been honky as long as I can remember - probably my whole life. It's hard to admit, because of the repressive anti-honky environment that pervades our society. It's kinda funny, actually, I would've thought that everyone's honky-dar would've been going off, but it seems like only Gabe has detected my honky-dom. It's a good thing that he's honky too - like his mom - so that I knew my secret was safe with him. Until now, of course.

GABE: I'm just gonna use the term turkey, cuz it rocks. You jive turkey! Either that or just resort to everyone as a bitch or bastard. I like how we have to come up with what names we will call each other or terms we shall use. Can you feel the love?

JASON: Wait, wait wait. Brandon is a honky? I thought there was a ban on honky marriage. Didnt you just use the honeymoon excuse? I always knew those damn honkys were nothing but conniving schemers.

Other RPG or Non-RPG or Monthly Board Gaming Day gaming Events

--Dieter the Bold 13:06, 3 November 2008 (MST) Just picked up The Burning Wheel over the weekend and am reading through it. Was highly recommended by a panel at PAX and I'm liking what I'm reading so far. So far I'm getting a "Dogs in the Vineyard" feel for it, but with a Cyberpunk-style system backing it up. Should I continue liking it all the way through the GM's and Player's guides, I will run a one-shot. Of some kind.

JASON: Anyone up for a game day either this Saturday or the first weekend in December?

--Dieter the Bold 13:56, 30 November 2008 (MST) Move me to "tentative" for the first weekend in December. We're now into required overtime at work, and I have a 4-hour required "work party" on Friday, so I don't want to ink myself into activities on my only free day off. I'm still interested, but don't want to 100% commit. I have issues.
