Attendance and Food Preference

Edmiao I'll be doing pickup duty. Deiter, it would be nice if you could get to montlake or the U district, or somewhere closer than the amazon building. i'll be headed from my work near gasworks park, through the U district to pick up brandon and friend, then down to montlake and over the water. One note, i don't want to be staying to the wee hours, would be good if we could wrap it up by like 1 am, since i'm your return trip home i can't just ditch early.

--Gdaze 09:23, 23 June 2009 (MST) Here is a note for anyone who might care about it. The 255 goes very close to my house, you'd still have to walk a good 20 mins or so, but it is there. I'll see if I can't get my license renewed before Friday and then I can take some people home as well (Dieter I'm guessing since it is kinda opposite from you Ed).

--Dieter the Bold 11:32, 23 June 2009 (MST) I can get myself to Juanita without too much trouble. If someone wants to pick me up there around 7pm, then we're good to go. I am also totally down for pizza. There should be lots of options in the area. Plus there's the Kirkland Costco (but take the back way to avoid traffic).

Edmiao for some reason i love cosco pizza, if you go for that i'm in. where is juanita? are we starting rp at 6-ish or are we doing magic? since it's a one shot, i suggest we start with rp. deiter can you make it by 6-ish?

Edmiao can't recall if i still have my magic dex at home or if they are at ben's. brandon, is your friend a magic guy? do you have your decks? will we have time for it? one shots probably need more time than regular sessions and we want to not go too late.

--Brandon 13:19, 23 June 2009 (MST) Googlemaps sez that Juanita is close to Gabe's house. I just introduced my friend to Magic and he's become obsessed, so I'm sure he'd love to play some (especially against someone who isn't me). I definitely don't want to go too late, but I want to give the one-shot enough time (10 seems too early to me), so how about this: if Dieter can't get there before 7ish, we'll plan on doing the normal thing and playing some Magic from 6-7 and starting once Dieter arrives/is picked up; if Dieter can get close by by 6, we'll start right away, and I'll aim on ending closer to 11:00ish, so that we can play some Magic games. Ed, I want to stop by Ben's anyway this week to pick up dice (we need A LOT of six-siders), so I'll grab your decks if they are there. Ok on all that?

Also, I don't care where the pizza comes from as long as I get to eat some and it doesn't take too long to get. The advantage with Pudge is that it's right by my house, but that means a ride to Kirkland with pizza boxes in the car. Gabe, do you think Noelle would be interested in playing in the one-shot? 'Cause she's totally invited. Just let me know soonish.

--Dieter the Bold 13:33, 23 June 2009 (MST) Always down for Pudge, but I do have this weird hankering or Costco. But as you say, Pudge doesn't require anyone to go out and get the pizza. I'm down either way. I can be there by 6pm. I'll get dropped off on Market St. which is west of Gabe's from 405. It'll be easy for someone to run down and grab me and avoid pick-ups in rush-hour heavy areas.

--Brandon 14:12, 23 June 2009 (MST) Ummmm, does anyone have a Costco card? If so, and if Dieter and Ed want to make a run to the Kirkland Costco when Dieter gets picked up, that's fine with me. Otherwise, let's plan on Ed, Joe, and I meeting at Pudge (at maybe 5:15-5:30ish) and heading over to Gabe's with pizza. We'll start the one-shot as soon as everyone is accounted for.

--Gdaze 14:54, 23 June 2009 (MST) I've got a card, and the pizza place is outside instead of inside, Noelle bought something there with no trouble last time we were there. Whomever we go with I just need there to be some pizza left over for Noelle after she gets off work.

So are we meeting at 6 then? And so far de plans look good. Yes I want to play the rigger.

Oh, and I'll let you know tonight if Noelle will play, she won't be home till like 10 though. She is interested in the world.

--Brandon 17:39, 23 June 2009 (MST) Yes, the plan is to meet at six. It seems like most people want Costco pizza, and that's fine by me. We probably want like 3 pizzas though, since we need to feed six faces. I'll make sure that there is a character available for Noelle to jump into if she makes it in time and is interested in doing so.

Edmiao gabe, why don't you get the pizza? i tried to get pizza from costco once and they gave me a real hard time about it. probably just luck of the draw, sounds like Deiter was bussing it, but Deiter, sound off on if you want us to pick you up some where on this side.

--Dieter the Bold 12:15, 24 June 2009 (MST) Let's just do Pudge if we can't have pizza there and ready to go at 6. I do have a Costco card if people want to delay for Costco pizza, but it'll be around 20 minutes to go from Gabe's house, get the pizza and return. I'm down either way. I will never be disappointed by Pudge. And I'll let you know Ed, but I think I'll go the bus route.

Ed: cant believe out of five guys im the only one with a car. Yall are so unamerican. I may actually not be done exactly on time. Been real busy lately. Brandon why dont i meet you at your place so you dont have to sit on the curb for an indetermimant amount of time.

Joe and I will be at my house awaiting your arrival. We'll aim for 5:30, but it's cool if you're not there right then (we can play some Magic). But, if it turns out that we have to get Pudge, let me know a little in advance as to when you'll be by so that I can make sure the pizza is ready by then. Cool?

I'm just gonna drop outta pizza, since it is as my place I can just eat whatever, so go ahead and go for Pudge, it also doesn't look like I can secure transportation for the Costco pizza anyway. Also I've eatten a lot of cheese this week so I'd like to cut down a bit on that. Is cool? I just realized it may be tough for me to beat you all to my house haha, but don't worry, I should be able to.

So, for pizza, it's just Me, Joe, Dieter, and Noelle? Is Noelle fine with vegetarian pizza? Dieter, will you call when you arrive, or something like that?

Shadowrun OneShot(s) (6/26)

--Brandon 18:16, 15 June 2009 (MST) Hey y'all. I've been jonesin' for gaming in general (and want to make a character so that I can at least drop in sometimes on the Mass Effect game), but I've also been jonesin' to run another Shadowrun one-shot. It'd be a "continuation" of the last one, but without any real plot continuity, so there'd be no need to know anything about the last one-shot. Anyone interested? One possibility could be that we do it next week while Matt and Ben are rehearsing for some sort of ritualistic ceremony. Or, some other time. Just wanted to gauge interest.

--Brandon 13:03, 17 June 2009 (MST) So, it sounds like Gabe and Ed are both down for a Shadowrun one-shot NEXT FRIDAY (6/26). DIETER, are you interested? It'd be awesome if you could play, because then there would be one person with continuity (doesn't really matter, but would be kind of nice). I'd give you dibs on playing the same guy you played last time (Max) if you wanted, 'cause I thought you played him really well. I also have another friend who is interested in playing, so we have at least 3 players, and hopefully 4. If y'all are down, I'm prepared to commit, and will post some stuff. The only possible snafu is that I'm not sure I'll have a car. So, if we do it at Gabe's, we might have to all pile in with Ed or something. Let me know what y'all think, so that I can start scheming in earnest.

Gabe, Reagan is (now) a rigger. He'll have at least one little bot, if not more (plus a rigged pickup truck and a motorcycle (I think). Also, I'd be happy to include a new character, if none of the available suit your fancy. But, I'd prefer if you tell me that in advance (say, by the end of the weekend) so that I can create one to suit your fancy with enough time.

Edmiao If there is space, cheryl says 20% chance she might join us for the one shot. if you want to do it on sunday afternoon that weekend, cheryl would join and we could host at our place.

--Brandon 12:05, 18 June 2009 (MST) So, if we play on Friday (6/26), Cheryl is 20%, and if we play on Sunday (6/28), Cheryl is 100%ish and we can do it at the Miao palace? I'm game for the switch, and there will definitely be space (don't worry, I won't make anyone play a quadrapalegic), but it depends on everyone else. Gabe, Dieter, what say you? And, if we play Sunday, Ben might even be able to play. Ben? I'll also talk to my friend Joe.

For now, we'll plan on Friday (6/26) at Gabe's, but see if we can move to Sunday (6/28).

Ed, is there still a chance Cheryl could play? 'Cause that'd be awesome. Also, was the offer to play at your house only if we played on Sunday?

Also, I finished off the synopsis of the last one shot, so take a look at at least the "Major Points of Interest" section. I'll have a hook up for this one-shot within the next few days.

--Brandon 10:02, 22 June 2009 (MST) Gabe, read 4 lines up. To the best of my knowledge, we will be playing this Friday. Regardless, I don't plan to go super late (midnight at the latest, maybe?). We will plan to do it at your house unless Ed lets us know that we can do it at his house (i.e., if Cheryl decides to play, which looks like it will probably be a last minute decision, which is fine). I will have the hook for this adventure, plus updated character sheets, up tonight. I'll have an additional character ready for Cheryl, in case she decides to play. Gabe, do you still want to play Reagan (the Rigger)? Ed, do you have any preference between Togo (the shaman) and Rad (the physical adept/martial artist/breakdancer)?

EDIT: I've updated the character sheets and info for the one-shot, at Guttersnipes!: Movin' On Up. Ed, I'm going to have you play Togo and have Gabe play Reagan, if that's ok with you both. Take a look at the character sheets, info, and group sheet, and let me know if you have any questions.

--Brandon 21:57, 22 June 2009 (MST) I just talked to Ed, and he's game to give us all a ride to Gabe's (assuming that we don't end up at Ed's because Cheryl's playing). Dieter, do you think you can get to some neutral location (like maybe the U-District) for carpool purposes? I'm planning to start at normal time (i.e., sixish).

Lyra told us where to find the freezing Tears of _____ so we can put out the dragon's breath, right before she extinguished the eternal forge flame in our temple (bitch) by sucking its soul out like a vampire. She will help us fight the dragon. In return we agreed to let her strike the killing blow IF we successfully obtain the Tears. Other allies could also be enlisted in the fight.

--Gdaze 09:21, 23 June 2009 (MST) We raided the Forge's stash. Turns out the Prince took all the shiney stuff, which is actually the weaker stuff. I got a box. Matt got a sword, and we went into the old ways and had it forged by some old dwarf witch. My shadow self called out to my crow and killed it. Oh, there is now basically a pirate town on the island as well. We went to see the fairy king who was way more relaxed then before but still a dick. Matt met the new guard of the fairy bridge.

Oh, and there is a big political scuffle at the Forge (mostly due to our request). It isn't too bad right now though.
