--BenofZongo 20:28, 5 November 2010 (MST)As I mentioned, Meghan will be out of town so it will have to be at my place if I'm going to be involved. I do love gaming at Ed's place, especially because it means Cheryl can get in on the goodness, but that weekend I'll need to be home in the evenings. We could try to do some board games during the day one day that weekend and I could probably bring Dakota for that for a few hours.

Edmiao its hard for us to take Ella to Ben's I think. our place is kid proofed and we can kinda let her loose, but she would wreak havok on ben's place I would think. she's pretty mobile and standing. Cheryl would like to play, which makes 4, or 3 off and on 4. is Joe coming? anyone else? When ben has to book to put Dakota to bed, we could discuss reconvening at Bens place and leave cheryl behind if we want to play into the wee hours (I burned a lot of points lately ditching cheryl for conferences and such, so have to play that one by ear for me, or get you guys to advocate it on saturday). We have a wii to amuse Dakota if he is old enough for that? too many kids, complicated.

--Dieter the Bold 18:45, 8 November 2010 (MST) I'm busy Friday & Saturday evening (Polish Film Festival at SIFF), but Sunday's open. I could appear at any gaming event until about 5pm or so, then I'd have to leave for the films. Sorry.

--BenofZongo 19:03, 8 November 2010 (MST)Sigh. It looks like there is the most impetus for a Saturday day time event. This may/should be do-able, though how to keep D entertained at such an event is actually no mean feat. A Wii will help, but he will probably want to participate in magic...overall I'll probably have to put a few-hour cap on how long I can attend. I had Joe ready to play magic Friday night, but since that's a no go I'll see if he's available saturday. Bottom line: a.) if there is to be any magic, it will have to be Saturday during the day at Ed/Cheryl's place. b.) I will do my best to attend for a few hours if said event is organized. c.) there may be late night events (post 9pm) at my place depending on attendance.
EDIT: Also, I've grossly miscalculated weekends left in the year. I leave a week from this wednesday and won't be back in state until January. I had hoped to make the one shot come together before I left, but obviously that's a total impossibility. Stay tuned following my triumphant return for something game related, maybe.

Edmiao I'd be up for an evening thing, but i'm not sure if i have the political capital to pull it off is the only problem.

Edmiao I have an awesome (u may think dumb) idea for a magic game format. it would erase any comments of "that card is broken". you can use any cards in your deck, but the total cost of the cards (choose an online seller to check costs) cannot exceed a certain amount, say $30, or higher for a higher powered game. You want a planeswalker? fine, but the rest of your deck is gonna be commons. or you could have a deck full of 50 cent cards. this is a very capitalist format, you let the market decide what is fair to play. oh, and when are we gonna play again? i can't do halloween weekend.

--Dieter the Bold 18:19, 21 October 2010 (MST) Just picked up Halo: Reach for Charles (Jason's business partner, also boardgamer & roleplayer), and we're going to get our Halo on this Saturday around 4pm. Arkham Horror will follow around 7pm or so with his wife Deanna joining us. I have declicious Mom-baked chocolate cake that simply has to be shared (seriously, there's too much of it), a large table w/ seating for 6 (7 w/ my desk chair), and a brand-new apartment that I've finally gotten into shape that I'd like to show it off. So, come-one come-all to Dieter's Den for Halo: Reach (I have 3 controllers & can have Charles bring a 4th), Arkham Horror and chocolate cake. Feel free to bring other food or drinks. I have soda and a functioning kitchen w/ cookware.

--Gdaze 13:20, 25 October 2010 (MST) Well, Halloween weekend, as well as the first weekend of November are pretty busy for me. Anytime in the middle of November would work, or even mid-weekday. I have pretty much zero time to do anything with my decks, the new style sounds neat, but not for someone like me who has no internet app phone.

Edmiao sorry we couldn't make it dieter. cheryl loves Arkham horror too, but we were all sick and worn out. hope you had fun! lets plan some Magic for november. Nov 13-14th or 20-21st??
