Also, Sin City's on the Egyptian at midnight this Friday, so if people want to knock off early and roll to that (missing Gabe and Ed at that point) then I wouldn't be opposed. Fine to game until the wee hours with everyone else, though.

--Edmiao 10:53, 28 March 2008 (MST) i may be late for the 6pm magic. if i am that will suck for y'all cus i gots all the decks. you'll have to make do with gabes decks, which all suck. exept for that black one and the red and blue one, and the modular is kind of fun to play. y'all can get modular with gabe's mom's black and blue deck.

JASON: That cheese is an experimental thing made by the cheesemakers. I believe its base is flagship reserve, but with something added. I still have more than I can eat, so if anyone finishes what they have and wants more, let me know.

--Dieter the Bold 13:03, 24 March 2008 (MST) Speaking of our next board gaming extravaganza, howzabout this weekend? It's Sakura-Con, so I know Gabe is out, but other people? Also, one of the panels at Norwescon I went to was Board Games for Non-Beginners. The dude who's the chair for the board that decides the Origins awards was there along with some other lady also deep in the industry giving out recommendations. I'd like to hear others' thoughts on some of the games and companies I jotted down.
BEN: I have a lot of shit going on at work right now, so it is doubtful that I will be available this weekend. that and I played like 25 hours of boardgames in NY...kim's family are fans.
Ed: not this weekend, brother in law in town. probably not next weekend either.

JASON: Yes, I bought some Space Opera books there. Its alright, I prefer to have the book, but its a reasonable proxy. What are you looking for?

--Edmiao 08:56, 24 March 2008 (MST)Gabe, i love your blue/red draw deck, so awesome. immitation being the greatest form of flattery, i was trying to make a similar theme deck, but have been unable to come up with anything good. i have a few cards that would go into your deck great, though. Eye of the storm, i think it is, is one. Brandon, I have Blue, White, Red and artifacts/gold boxes at my place. you can drop by and pick em up if those are colors you need. otherwise on friday. i made a new millstone sans millstone deck that was ok, but got creamed by goblins. revamped it, gabe, down to 60 cards and took out the white, if you can believe that. we'll see how it works.
--Gdaze-- Heh heh, well I had been working on that red/blue deck for awhile, just couldn't get the right cards in it. And scary, that milstonish deck was fairly annoying to play. Although, not as annoying as that token deck! That thing is a creature making machine.
--Brandon 14:30, 24 March 2008 (MST) Sounds like I missed some fun Magic! The cards I'm looking for (mostly because there are the only ones that I have inventory of in my head) are the new ones I bought, which last I saw were in a tupperware container at BnD. If you incorporated those cards into the main library (which should probably be done - at least with the cards not in decks), I'll totally swing by your house, 'cause it's red and white I need. If not, and they're still in the tupperware, I'll either swing by BnD sometime (with permission, mind) or sort through them on Friday. Regardless, I'm ready to get millstoned and tokened to death on Friday. Sounds like I'll have to wait to get cra-zied.
Ed- I did not touch da tup er ware. gabe's blue/red draw deck is the most dope deck i've ever seen. i should make a version on the workstation. my millstone deck is mostly annoying to play against.

--Gdaze-- Well just imagen if I had TWO of those enchantments. Then every time I cast a soccery I'd be casting two instants for free. Thats fairly crazy.

--ed: nice. or combine your dragon with the dragon mage, when it does damage all players discard hand and draw 7. the two dragons together that's 12 damage per hit and you got 7 cards in your hand. course it has to survive. i like your artifact above better.
ed: ok, best combo for you gabe: Niv-Mizzet plus Curiosity (or ophidian eye does the same thing for more mana; we have one ophidian eye, i think). once cast the game is over instantly. then add all your draw card shit and you pull this combo out of the deck.

BEN: not a chance...that guy is pretty valuable, i think (the card costs 8 bucks), and is used in quite a few of the championship tournament decks.
--Gdaze-- Teferi is pretty gross just by himself. His instant lock out is just painful. And yeah, you could build a lot of neat decks around him. I mean nobody else can play instants??? Thats locking out an entire card type with one card. Insane.

--Edmiao 13:58, 27 March 2008 (MST) it was potentially vital to one of the decks. but what was it? This isn't it, but do you lose the game when your library is empty, or when it is empty and you have to draw a card?

Wait, legends, I found this:
420.5e If two or more legendary permanents with the same name are in play, all are put into their owners’ graveyards. This is called the “legend rule.” If only one of those permanents is legendary, this rule doesn’t apply.
However it says you don't loose the game right away if you are at 0 live but instead loose the game when you are given priority...
--Edmiao 14:50, 27 March 2008 (MST) that was it the question, the legendary creature duplication. because i have that green white guy that puts a legendary wolf into play, and i wanted to attack with the old one and then replace it with a new one to block the next turn.
that is what i thought about card draw too. otherwise you never get to use your last card for the last second save!
that is interesting about the losing the game upon priority at zero life rather than immediately. what does that mean?
