Exposure, Session 1: False Alarm

Sunday

It starts with the fire alarm early Sunday morning. It wakes everyone in the artist housing and across the street, causing four strangers to recognize each other as from a peculiar dream. The four begin to get to know each other, to varying degrees, and discuss the nature of their dream.

Daniel notices a dark blue van across the south street from the building, visible from his apartment at night. Nadine likewise notices a plumbing van, At-the-Ready Plumbing, across the street from the front of the building, there during the day.

One or two of them notice large spiders in reflections, but see nothing when they turn to look.

Monday

Nadine begins research on the occult of dreams. Brad and Dan look for work; Dan also purchases and begins setting up surveillance equipment. The vans are back. The four meet at The Chapel Bar, where Isha works, in the evening.

Nadine discovers a sensation of being watched while she's in the apartment building.

Tuesday

The four of them locate Western State Hospital, whose layout matches the hospital they remember from their dream, and which used to be a mental institution. Traveling there, they learn all they can about it but are rebuffed from bluffing their way into a tour by a Ms. Labrum. Brad manages to discover a Dr. Unger working in virology there.

Wednesday

Dan gets close to the blue van and talks with the inhabitants briefly, pretending he saw someone slashing their tires the previous night (having paid someone to do so).

People in the apartment building continue to see spiders in reflections.
