Why did Russian agents isolate and kill non-descript hippy Steve McFadden while what could be the United States' most secret soldier stands only a few feet away? What was in the metal box they carried away? Its 1966 man, everything is groovy.

Venture Industries forgotten project 1/?/07

Sometime in the late 1990s..... It seems that someone convinced Viho Ciquala to make a large something and then to forget about the whole thing. and further, to forget about the whole thing again. It was a mystery so daunting that.....what was I saying... must not have been important, forget about it.

The One (part 1) 11/30/07

The Date: June 5, 1999. The place: Seattle.

Two men argue in their apartment about the fate of the UW huskies. Unbeknownst to them, everything is about to change. On TV, a rumpled scientist nervously demonstrates his life's work. He is about to shake the world to its molten metal core. With the poke of a pencil, a seemingly simple act, an apple translocates into space.

One of the arguing men, watching the TV absently, mumbles that when comes the One, so comes the End. Although this apparently heralds the end of the world, there doesn't seem do be much to do about it.

A man breaks into the conference, calling himself the Highwayman, and demands the Hope Diamond and an ice cream truck full of gold bullion over UWTV local cable.

The Highwayman comes in to the lecture hall, exposing the man at the microphone as a fake, and a fight ensues. Those present, incliding Viho Ciquala, "Hub", and Austin Opperman, nervously look to escape. Opperman successfully slides out the back door. The Highwayman, with a little help from Hub, subdue four goond, but their leader bearing the nomiker "XI" on his shirt, flies away and escapes.

Geoffry and Johnathan see each other again after many years. In 1994 the time was too early for their brotherly reunion. Now, is the time ripe? Geoffry can't handle the ambiguities and flees this "family" reunion.

Several hours later, the Dandy One retreats with some newfound friends, Geoffry and his guardian, to a bar while the scientists and Hub interrogate a captured thug. Hub finds the thugs mind has been thoroughly cleansed, but there is an address of a safe house remaining. Is it a lead, or a trap?

Acting upon the clue, the six protagonists went to a warehouse location near Burien, and witnessed what were apparently mercenary Iraqi ninjas leaving the premises. The guardian, and later the Highwayman, investigated the warehouse each in their own fassion, but XI was not to be found. Who are they? Why were they leaving and where are they going? Who interrupted a science lecture that they seemed to care little about, and why? Their demands were obviously ridiculous. Was the World Freedom Alliance behind the hostage incident or were they being framed? Was it a ruse to draw Hub to the "safe house"? Was it organized by a rival company intending industrial espionage against Venture Industries by kindapping its CEO? Was it a botched attempt to capture the soon to be all powerful Opperman, The One? Was it a clever attempt to draw out the guardian and his charge?
