Reuben McRotch is a former prospector haunted by his past. While mining the ghost rock he saw something that terrified him. It killed his partner and crippled Reuben. After collapsing the mine, Reuben sold his claim to a local mining company and set out to forget. Forgetting was not to be . Soon he heard tell of something that reminded him of what he had seen deep within the earth. He set off with 2 strangers intent on defeating the thing and gained to Loyal companions.

McRotch Biscuits 1 quart self-rising flour 1 pinch salt 1 tablespoon shortening Make the dough soft with cold water and stir with a spoon, just enough to make a fairly stiff dough. Do not knead or stir too much or you get heavy biscuits. Drop from spoon into well-greased pan and bake 15 minutes, or until done.
