Spencer Harlock

Command Master Chief Petty Officer Spencer Harlock is the senior enlisted man on the USS Niven. At age 51 he is the second oldest crew member, behind Master Chief Sharon Jameson. Master Chief Harlock initially planned to attend college on a tennis scholarship, but due to an academic dispute with a geography professor was denied entrance. Instead of appealing and waiting a year he enlisted in Starfleet and began his career in starship operations. He is very technically savvy, and enjoys problem solving of all types. He is very familiar with all facets of the bridge and its systems, and has a good understanding of engineering principles as well.

His personality is gregarious and often boisterous. He enjoys many hobbies, including sudoku, logic puzzles, poker and bridge. He is good friends with Sergeant Major Pierson, and plays as his bridge partner. He also plays tennis on the holodeck, and even at age 51 is the recognized ship champion.
