Feudal Japan (circa 1400s Japan). The country essentially in chaos, due to a weak Shogun and powerful daimyos; with the Onin war, the whole country is essentially plunged into chaos.
The game would use the WHRFP rules, and players would be people of various stripes attempting to make their way through a volatile and dangerous world.
