It fires a bright green energy pulse that leaves a noticeable incandescent trail through the air.  Reaction with solid matter appears to cause a significant kinetic impact and thermal damage, but not much in the way of penetration.

This weapon has not yet been researched, and its method of activation is at this point unknown.
