Dieter's Den
Currently located on the cusp between Ballard and Fremont, Dieter's Den is the perfect place to engage in an evening of fun and relaxed boardgame or RPG play. Many hip, local shops providing food and drink are available nearby, including a 7-11, Fred Meyer, and PCC.
Off-street parking is theoretically available, but is close to Capitol Hill levels of difficulty (close, but better).
Inside you will find a large and solid dining table, perfect for emperor-style Magic games, mass-combat on hex maps, boardgames of all kinds, and, of course, dice rolling. A bonus feature is the removable centerpiece, allowing for larger groups or more intimate gatherings.
A small, yet well-appointed kitchen has a well-circulating oven and stable refrigerator for any cooking & cooling needs. Microwave & toaster oven are also available.
Other conveniences include a bathroom (no fan) and a cozy TV room with a comfortable couch and a low coffee table. Perfect for some intimate Rock Band, Halo or Wii action.
Dieter's Den is a true home away from home.

Directions
From Downtown/Queen Anne via arterials: Take Dexter Ave or Westlake Ave N and cross the Fremont Bridge onto Fremont Ave N. Take a left at the second light onto Fremont Pl N and follow it until it becomes N 36th St. As it turns into NW 36th St, follow the curve around into Leary Way, then take your second right onto NW Bowdoin Pl (first right is a stoplight). Go up the steep hill and find the brick building on your right, a house or two past 2nd Ave NW.
From Downtown or Southern locales via Aurora/Hwy-99: Take Aurora/Hwy-99 to the N 39th St/Bridge Way exit. Exit and take a quick left, then another left onto N 38th St. Take a right onto Fremont Way N, then diagonal through the light to N 39th St. Follow down, then take a right onto 2nd Ave NW, then right again onto NW Bowdoin Pl. Brick building on your right, a couple houses down.
From Southern locales via I-5: Take I-5 North and either take the Mercer exit or continue further North to the NE 45th St exit. For Mercer: From the off-ramp, turn right onto Fairview Ave N, then a left onto Valley St. Follow the lake shore to the right onto Westlake Ave N. Go over the Fremont Bridge and take a left at the second light after the bridge onto N 36th St (via Fremont Pl N). As it turns into NW 36th St, follow the curve around into Leary Way, then take your second right onto NW Bowdoin Pl (first right is a stoplight). Go up the steep hill and find the brick building on your right, a house or two past 2nd Ave NW. For NE 45th St: As you exit, stay right to avoid continuing to NE 50th St, then stay left to the traffic light. Take a left onto NE 45th St and continue straight through Wallingford. Take a left onto Stone Way, then a right onto N 35th St. Follow it across Fremont Ave N until it becomes N 36th St. As it turns into NW 36th St, follow the curve around into Leary Way, then take your second right onto NW Bowdoin Pl (first right is a stoplight). Go up the steep hill and find the brick building on your right, a house or two past 2nd Ave NW.
From Northern locales via I-5: Take I-5 South and either take the NE 45th St exit and turn right onto NE 45th St, following the directions above, or continue to the Mercer exit and follow directions for the arterials.
From Northern locales via Aurora/Hwy-99: Take Hwy-99 South and exit onto N 38th St, then take a right onto Fremont Way N., then diagonal through the light to N 39th St. Follow down, then take a right onto 2nd Ave NW, then right again onto NW Bowdoing Pl. Brick building on your right, a couple houses down.
From Montlake/Capitol Hill via Eastlake Ave: I recommended to avoiding Eastlake until the bridge over Salmon Bay due to the number of lights, single lanes and congestion. I recommend either Broadway to Roanoke, then down Harvard onto Eastlake. Or 19th Ave E until it ends, with a gentle left onto Interlaken Dr E. Take a left onto E Interlaken Blvd and eventually merge onto Delmar Dr E. Follow the curve into Roanoke, then right onto Harvard and follow onto Eastlake. Or go down 23rd Ave E, which becomes 24th Ave E. Take a left onto Boyer Ave E. Stay on Boyer until it becomes Fuhrman Ave E. Follow until it meets Eastlake.
Once on Eastlake, either follow it as it becomes 11th Ave NE, then take a left onto NE 45th St and follow the directions above for I-5, or take the earlier exit right onto Lincoln Way (large half-loop right before NE Campus Pkwy). Follow Lincoln Way back under Eastlake onto NE 40th St. Take NE 40th St. until it T's under I-5, then turn left onto 6th Ave NE. Stay on this as it becomes NE Northlake Way, then N Northlake Way. Turn right onto Stone Way N, then left onto N36th St. Go under the Aurora/Hwy-99 bridge and then straight (slight right) across Fremont Ave N, and stay on this road until it curves to the right onto Leary Way, then take the first right after the stoplight onto NW Bowdoin Pl. Up the steep hill, brick building on the right a couple houses past NW 2nd Ave.
From Montlake/Capitol Hill via Montlake Bridge: Take 23rd Ave NE (becomes 24th Ave NE), follow the curves as it becomes E Montlake Pl E and finally Montlake Blvd E. Cross the bridge onto Montlake Blvd NE, then take a left onto NE Pacific St. Either turn right on 15th Ave NE then left on NE 45th St and follow the I-5 directions, or stay on Pacific until it passes under Eastlake and becomes NE Northlake Way. Stay on NE Northlake Way until it T's under I-5, then turn left onto 6th Ave NE.
From Ballard: Find your way onto Leary Way NW or NW Market St. Via Leary Way, simply follow it until you see NW Bowdoin Pl. on your left (a little past Tacoma Screw hardware store and before the stoplight), or if traffic is heavy, just wait at the light and take a left onto NW 39th St, then a quick left up 2nd Ave NW and right onto NW Bowdoin Pl. Via NW Market St, follow it West and then South. Once it becomes N Market St, take a right onto Greenwood Ave N. Follow South, then take a right onto N Bowdoin Pl. This becomes NW Bowdoin Pl once you pass 1st Ave NW. Brick building on your left a little before you reach 2nd Ave NW.
From the Eastside via I-90: Get onto I-5 N from I-90 and follow the directions for "Southern locales via I-5". From the Eastside via 520: Either merge onto I-5 S and take the Mercer/Seattle Center exits, then take a left onto Mercer followed by a right onto Westlake. Follow the "From the Downtown/Queen Anne via arterials" directions form there. Or, get onto I-5 N and follow the "Southern locales via I-5" directions.
