A decompiler breaks down materials into component molecules or atoms. These are then piped in pure form to various holding chambers that can be used to supply a compiler.

Decompilers will greatly increase the efficiency of materials salvage. A static decompiler network can be set up to gather raw elements from the environment. This array is known as a "Feed." In theory, with a collection point set up in the ocean, nearly any materials used in manufacture could be gathered.
