Silver City is the stuff of fable and legend.  It could be compared to mythical locales as the lost city of Atlantis, Camelot or El Dorado.  Its existence is hinted at in many stories told throughout the valley, but often, depending on the needs of the story being told, the location and nature of the city can be quite different.  This makes it almost impossible to narrow down a definitive location based on lore.  One attribute common throughout almost all of the stories told, however, is that Silver City is a city of pre-war robots, and that it is hidden somewhere deep in the valleys of the Apparition Range, or perhaps even beyond in The Glow itself.

General

Many artifact hunters have devoted their lives to finding this mystical place, but none have succeeded (or any that did have never returned or have never shared their discovery). This obsession has entered into the local language in the phrase "fishing for silver," meaning one is taking on a pointless task that can never be completed or will end in ruin.
