You didn't convince me, although you definitely made some good points that I will take under consideration for when I GM/Play. Likewise, I'm sure I didn't convince you. That's how most discussions go, and that's cool, like you said earlier. As friends, we can all get a little rough with each other and not take it personally, at least not for long. --[[User:Matts|Matts]] 21:22, 2 April 2007 (MST)Jason, I honestly think you're being too hard on yourself. I personally think that this process we go through, though it seems interminable and draining, results in a better understanding of gaming and fun, whether consciously or not. Personally, I don't think any argument that contains a refusal to contrast new ideas with our current ideas, or a refusal to examine our motives or methods, can be successfully leveled. | --[[User:Matts|Matts]] 21:22, 2 April 2007 (MST)Jason, I honestly think you're being too hard on yourself. I had to take 4 weeks off because I realized how frazzled I was, partially due to me not being able to communicate with Ed, like, at all. Now I think I probably should put off Exemplars for a while until I can regain my life. So, everyone, Im sorry.

I know you probably think of yourself as an instigator, and that you've done nothing but caused everyone a headache, but honestly, all this talk has spurred me to do more serious thinking about games and the nature of play, and on top of that I still have fun when I game.
It's unfortunate that our passion often outweighs our logic (at least for you, me and ben) in these discussions, because with a little more discipline and clinical detachment these discussions would be majority positive instead of such a tumultuous mixed bag.
