--[[User:Matts|Matts]] 09:57, 9 February 2007 (MST)Yes.  The group's primary objective would be to survive, to get the hell off the planet they're on.  There's no guarantee that objective couldn't change over gameplay, but that'd be significant motivation to start with.

Some players, at their option, might have the ultimate ambition of clearing the Astral Claws of the smudge on their name.  But that's not neccesary.

Can we PUHHLLEEEEAASSSEEE be Rainbow Warriors?

--Matts 17:15, 17 January 2007 (MST)sigh..... the game is called 'SPACE MARINES of the 41st Millenium', not 'SODOMITES of the 41st Millenium'. I suppose if anal sex was a major feature, then the group would probably be more interested....

--Edmiao 17:34, 17 January 2007 (MST) Ben might be more a scholar on this topic, but wasn't homosexuality common in classical armies? now imagine 50 men in space amped up on testosterone drugs

--Jason 17:57, 17 January 2007 (MST)Yeah I think Ill go ahead and sit this one out, thanks

--Matts 18:32, 17 January 2007 (MST)Yeah right, Jason's just declaring his disinterest for tax purposes

--Jason 18:38, 17 January 2007 (MST)They actually tax gay space marines? Whats the world coming to (or IN)?

--Edmiao 19:33, 17 January 2007 (MST) oh god. liar, you said you were sitting this one out.

--Matts 21:28, 17 January 2007 (MST)Is there a world record for number of game idea discussions in a row soured by tone-deaf homosexuality jokes? And do they give out trophies for that shit? Cause I could do with a trophy.

--Jason 21:37, 17 January 2007 (MST)How does one determine if a joke is tone deaf? If you can educate me on that, I might have a trophy with someone elses name on it for you...

--Jason 16:48, 18 January 2007 (MST)Have you considered using Rogue Trader instead? Its basically a roleplaying game in many aspects.

--Matts 17:36, 18 January 2007 (MST)I've never actually read the book; I'll have to borrow it.

--BenofZongo 19:21, 18 January 2007 (MST)Although I never played it, I haven't heard terrible good things about rogue trader as a game (mostly that it is tremendously complex). Isn't green ronin coming out with a WH40K game sometime this year anyways?

--Matts 19:34, 18 January 2007 (MST)They are, but it's going to be about inquisitors and shit. The Space Marine game won't be out for another few years.

--Edmiao 00:00, 9 February 2007 (MST) So I'm guessing that the group's objective would be to survive? maybe secondary to get a ship and leave? and possibly to start a new chapter of the astral claws? Would the players get to hash out what their objectives were at the start of the campaign?
