BEN:  last week, there was the fireworks show.  More importantly, steward Rausch announced that Freifocker had golbfahren killed to make the town more law abiding.  So we're off the hook for that one.  To follow that up, Sheng went and killed the old head of the corrupt militia, and hopefully recruited some of his old lackeys.  The town also got attacked by a strange barbarian with a really nice axe: he was part of salud-al-din's army, which has recently broken through the southern wall and invaded the border princes, on a bee-line for Altdorf.  We captured the dude at some cost to our mercenaries, but still haven't figured out what exactly is up with him.  Ignotus' plans (detailed below) relate largely to this.  That's all I can remember...other people can fill in.

Revision as of 01:50, 28 February 2008

This page is for discussion of stuff related to the game coming up this week, no matter when that actually is. For instance, we can all assume Nate isnt coming for some lame reason and that Ed is sick of pizza and is bringing teriyaki or some other crap. They can post something here if that happens to be untrue.

GABE: 25% I won't be there, unsure as of yet.

Ranting and raving or other random comments

--Jason 14:25, 22 February 2008 (MST)Check this shit out: http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/PDF/pr-2008-GamesWorkshop-Sabertooth.pdf

GABE: Wow, thats pretty cool. Fantasy Flight are the people who make Twilight Emperium and stuff right? Their boards games are pretty good with nice pieces, this could be very cool then.

--Jason 23:06, 22 February 2008 (MST)Come one, come all, and worship the RPG God that is me. I just bought two giant boxes (100 books) of roleplaying books. Yes, you read that correctly. Sure, I am $500 poorer, but I am a better person for it. Or, at least I keep telling myself that.

GABE: Early Christmas? Anyway, this FFG announcement is pretty exciting, just please don't make it D20. But they said they wanted to continue the smash hit game that is DH, so here is to hoping. Also really hoping we see some new board games based on WH.

GABE: So I was thinking, would anyone be interested in a WH40K one shot? It would be pre-gen characters with a bit of customization (you get some exp to spend). And yes the characters would be Acylites. I know Matt I think you were thinking of running a 40K game, and trust me I'd much rather be a player in a 40K rpg but I thought it might be a nice way to check out the system. Would anyone be interested? (This would of course be a week or 2 or 3 out.)

Weekly Magic Whining/Complaining/Smack Talking

--Brandon 14:07, 23 February 2008 (MST) So, is there any possibility of a Sunday evening/night Magic session? Ben, when are you going to be back in town? I also think Monday night might work.

--Jason 14:33, 23 February 2008 (MST)If its Monday I have a shot at attending.

--Brandon 12:19, 24 February 2008 (MST) Let's aim for Monday night. If no one else responds here by tonight, I'll try to make some calls.

GABE: Sure Monday works for me, although guess it'd be too much to ask to have it here?

BEN: I will be busy from 6 to about 10 pm. As such, I'd only likely participate if it was at my place, once I got back. Obviously, I can't host earlier than 10, which is too late to start on a weeknight, so if y'all want to play here, you'll need to work that out with Dieter.

GABE: Yeah 10 is kinda lato for meo. So uh, we not doing Monday? Wed works for me too.

--Brandon 23:17, 24 February 2008 (MST) I've got a car after 6 tomorrow, and would be interested pretty much regardless of the time. If Dieter's interested, it might make sense to start a bit earlier and maybe still be playing when Ben arrives. So, if Dieter's in, let's do it. If not, let's scrap it. Gabe, I could give you a ride, if that affects anything.

GABE: Well I've got work early, gotta try to get at least six or seven hours of sleep, so if we are gonna start/go late I'll just miss this time. Besides I don't even have a new deck ready, d'oh!

--Brandon 12:24, 25 February 2008 (MST) I'll be in the neighborhood of BnD on Wednesday, and will be free at 8:30, so Wednesday is an option for me as well.

--Dieter the Bold 16:12, 25 February 2008 (MST) Should be home by 8:30pm on Wednesday. Putting in some OT this week to cover upcoming expenses.

GABE: Hmm I think I can do Wed, I may have to leave by 10 though, or... 10:30ish.

BEN: I'm at gymnastics from 9-11 on Wednesdays...sorry guys.

--Brandon 14:09, 26 February 2008 (MST) So, do you guys (Gabe, Dieter, others?) want to play tomorrow, even if Ben is off doing back flips? Starting at 8:30-8:45ish, and going until 10-10:30ish? And, if all goes swimmingly, we might be having so much fun that we'll still be at it when Ben gets home, and the night will quickly deteriorate into a drunken shambles that will spill out into the streets, and Dieter will awaken on Thursday to realize that his dental woes were solved by our revelry so that he will not have to take a hit to the cabbage roll! Bonus points if someone (Gabe?) is able to give me a ride home.

GABE: Sure, though I really do have to leave 'round 10, 10:20. Gotz to get my sleep on. That said yeah I can give you a ride home, hope that is okay if Noelle comes?

--Brandon 01:04, 27 February 2008 (MST) Cool. It's totally great if Noelle comes, as long as she's open to the possibility of drunken dentistry in the streets. So, we're on as long as we get the ok from Dieter, it being at his house and all.

--Gdaze-- *thumbs up* I'm already not wearing pants! Well Dieter did say he would be back by 8:30, but no word on if its totally cool...

--Dieter the Bold 14:25, 27 February 2008 (MST) I be cool, but not interested in a whole night of Magic. I might be good for an hour or so, although ya'll are welcome to go longer. Should still be home by 8:30.

--Brandon 14:37, 27 February 2008 (MST) Excellent. I'll see you all around 8:40 tonight.

BEN: I'm going to skip my gymnastics class tonight: I've had pulled muscles every week after soccer, and this week I'm just not feeling like doing half the things I want to do at the gym because of that. So instead I'm going to be a lazy bastard and play magic with y'all. see you tonight.
