GABE: Yo, so from what I read you know 2nd ed. Shadowrun, how is that as a game over-all? Was 2nd ed. better liked then 3rd or something? I know they are currently on 4th ed. I'm just in the mood for some super-tech RPG and since I can't find any new cyberpunk game (I think there is one but doesn't come up, odd) I like the comb of fantasy and sci-fi. I'm thinking of picking up a 4th ed. but since Half Priced as a huge selection of older books just wondering what ed. is fun. Thanks. | GABE: Yo, so from what I read you know 2nd ed. And the skills system is really simple and effective. The only thing that is a big failure is the hacking stuff. It's just as complicated as combat, which means that if the hacker/decker needs to do something, according to the rules he's got to spend a bunch of time doing it while all of the other players sit around. There are definitely ways around that though. The best thing, in my opinion, is the gameworld. It's really fun to RP in. | ||

I don't know anything about 3rd edition, and have only leafed through the 4th ed book at the bookstore, so I can't really say much about them. But I did hear that they fixed the hacking stuff.
