Drones are remotely-operated machines or semi-autonomous robots.
Mission Parameters
There are a few primary reasons to deploy drone weapons:
1. Safety--Some missions may be to hazardous, what would be considered a "suicide mission."
2. Stealth--Some drones are small and innocuous, and can fly. They may be able to observe and/or attack without being seen.
3. Force multiplier--One operator may be able to control several weapons, or drone surveillance can feed tactical intelligence to ground troops.
4. Monotony--Some tasks are exceedingly menial or repetitive. Having a machine do them for you may lead to better results.
So far, the Elma Resistance has encountered the Scout Drone, Assault Drone and Construction Drone.
