Revision as of 21:42, 8 February 2007
This page is for discussion of stuff related to the game coming up this week, no matter when that actually is. For instance, we can all assume Nate isnt coming for some lame reason and that Ed is sick of pizza and is bringing teriyaki or some other crap. They can post something here if that happens to be untrue.

--BenofZongo 16:02, 27 January 2007 (MST)Unless we change the setup, games come in blocks of 3: I just found that if we went for shorter periods, it made it harder for people to get into character and thereby detracted from a lot of scenarios...also, 3 sessions is usually enough to wrap up an arc, whereas two almost never is. If GM absence necessitates switching games, the way matt and I agreed to do it was that "lost" sessions (ie, sessions from your set of 3) would be open for one shots, but that the 3 of one, then 3 of the other pattern wouldn't be disturbed. Thus, Jin dynasty should run from 2/2 to 2/16, with a possibility of a one shot on the 16th, and then from 2/23-3/9 we will be running game #2, whatever that is. Obviously, this setup is up for discussion, especially if we are planning to run Jin more or less continuously until it wraps up, but I found it very frustrating as a GM if I didn't know when I was supposed to be in charge or how many sessions I would have. Since you and Jason will in all likelihood be in charge for the next few months, you two should discuss this issue between the two of you and then set down what we will be playing on what dates. Also, we will definitely be at my place next week, Heather is on Friday Night Call so the house is mine.
--Edmiao 19:35, 28 January 2007 (MST) Jason had proposed and I agreed that we run Jin through to its conclusions straight. Although with a possible two week hiatus, maybe we should switch to 3 weeks of another game (PA or Exemplars or other) and then back to Jin.
--Gdaze-- ALRIGHT! Important! My dad who usually plays cards on Friday night will be at some art thingy. So I know Jason you were saying (were meaning like two weeks ago) that your place is a bit crowded? My place could be open then. I have a fairly big table to play on. What do you guys think? I'm 90% sure we could have it at my place if you perfer Jason, if not, thats cool too! Please let me know! As I do finally use this wiki.
--Jason 14:45, 8 February 2007 (MST)I dont find my place too crowded anymore, now that its clean, but I am down with gaming at Gabes, its closer to my work if nothing else. Whatever you guys think is fine with me.
--BenofZongo 15:20, 8 February 2007 (MST)I vote Gabe's just to spread out the burden: I figure that if we use other people's places when we can, Jason and I will have a better chance of pressuring the other people in our respective houses to allow us to host when we need it. But I'm also open to either option.
--Gdaze-- Sounds good to me. I still have this birthday dinner thing to attend to, but the house will be open just the same. I will confirm tonight to make sure it is okie... but I'm sure it is, even if we can't use the downstairs table there is one upstairs as well. I will email out my addy when I get home.
--Edmiao 17:20, 8 February 2007 (MST) address and directions plz. actually, you should send out an email for the non-wikiesque.
--Gdaze-- Alright, my place it is! And I sent it out via email.

--Matts 10:27, 7 February 2007 (MST)Probably absent; Rina just got offered a new job and I will likely be celebrating with her.
--Edmiao 10:32, 7 February 2007 (MST) puss bag. I'll be there. in for pizza. I assume justin is in for pizza also, and he should be there
--Gdaze-- Alright guys, I will be there but I shall be late. I have a birthday dinner to attend, sorry about this too. I tried to get it moved to Saturday but no dice. Where we will be playing though? Justin??? You mean Dieter?
--BenofZongo 12:09, 7 February 2007 (MST)No, Justin Justin. He will be here friday night, saturday for the one shot, and at my birthday party on saturday night. I assume from your response, Gabe, that I shouldn't expect you at the party saturday night :). Speaking of which, how many of you losers are coming, anyways?! (saturday night, I mean). We're at Jason's this week.
--Gdaze-- Hmm actually I might be able to come to your party... I just have a lot going on this month so its hard to keep on track. I won't be there for the one shot though. And good to hear Justin is coming! I gotta find out how to get to Jason's by bus then...
--BenofZongo 12:48, 7 February 2007 (MST)I'm sure somebody can come grab you...me, if no one on the eastside can do it.
--Dieter the Bold 13:35, 8 February 2007 (MST) Totally there. Up for quality pizza or (veggie) burgers. I'll also be at the one-shot and party Saturday. Gabe, take 532/535 to Lynnwood TC, then CT 118 (Aurora Vill.) to HWY-99. Couple block walk to Jason's from there. Drops you across from Big Lots!
Other random comments to the group
--BenofZongo 00:33, 16 January 2007 (MST)Against my better judgement, I am preparing, by popular demand, a "horror" one shot for the Saturday before my Bday (Feb 10th). The title of the one-shot is "The House of Usher". Somewhere in Northeastern Hungary, October, 1945. Characters will be pregen, and the system we will be using is Cyberpunk.
So far I have 5/6 players for the one shot on Feb. 10th: last call for signups will be this friday, when I will be handing out characters for the players' perusal (remember, no sharing of info). After that, only the most pitiful display will gain you entrance into that elite cadre, and you will be forced to make do with the dregs, as it were.
--BenofZongo 14:26, 8 February 2007 (MST)I wish Dieter would post more often: thats some funny shit yo. Check out what he has to say about the iliadic game on my page. '...and for being a bitch.' classic.

--Edmiao 10:07, 19 December 2006 (MST) if you guys want those night vision goggles and climbing gear back you might want to check the bandit camp again in the morning.
ben here. Just some quick notes. First off, I know the players on friday were a bit railroaded into meeting the first group of alts...sorry about that, but getting new characters into the story ain't always easy. Anyways, just because I forced the introduction, doesn't mean that the new characters and the old characters have to work together at all. I think that there are some mutual interests and some possibilities for assistance to be exchanged, but don't feel like you HAVE to stick together in any way just cause I introduced them. This, likewise, goes for the second group of alts. Also, I apologize that things were again a bit scattered, this time due largely to problems with the power outage and some of our missing players. I understand that this was due to circumstance, so hopefully things will get underway properly next session.
--Edmiao 10:10, 19 December 2006 (MST)I don't think we were railroaded, actually i think we almost missed the introduction. On retrospect, it was a rather stupid idea for Grant and Shennong to go out of the valley alone. they should have returned to look for Sarah elsewhere, maybe Falls. and then should have been better prepared for leaving the valley with healing herbs and such prepared.
--Dieter the Bold 20:12, 2 January 2007 (MST) Grant votes going back to Edgewood, and would like to have passed out after the fighting died down from the PolyCell-V. This way he can wake up with a little more centered perspective on the new arrivals. He'd be much more amenable to being friendly and helping them into the valley in return for further aid.
