--[[User:Edmiao|Edmiao]] 09:36, 5 September 2007 (MST) this discussion has actually been really good for the Elrin character.  It has made me think about what I want him to be a bit more thoroughly.  Deiter's comments especially have gotten me back on track and showed me that I played the character contrary to how I want him to be.  The Elrin that you all saw in the last two sessions, the childlike and distracted and gleeful attitude during combat, those are all characteristic of Elrin before he met Ig at the time of the circus.  So the first session prologue was a correct portrayal.  Now, he has changed significantly.  He will be intelligent, have poise, maybe be a little distant which might seem haughty if you didn't know better.  He will be pretty elf like, actually.  but sometimes he hears voices, sees things that aren't there, or aquires odd beliefs that seem contrary to reality.  This is the character that should have been present last session.  Recall I said that he seemed much more sane to you in the present game time than in the prologue, but then my play of him did not change.  I think he'll be a much much more interesting character this way and again, thanks Deiter for making me think about who he should be again.  You're right, having a child in the group can be tiresome; i got really tired of Raphe by the end and had no desire to play him again!  this has got to be the most thorough debate about a character's personality that we have ever had.  and a productive one to boot, which is faily uncommon as well for our long discussions.  Hurray team!

It's fine if you want it to be a secret, but it would be nice to have some kind of feel for where people are going so we can try and march more in step. I think it will be a huge boost to group cohesion if we have the feeling we're all marching to the same tune, as it were.

--Edmiao 09:36, 5 September 2007 (MST) this discussion has actually been really good for the Elrin character.
