This page is for discussion of stuff related to the game coming up this week, no matter when that actually is. For instance, we can all assume Nate isnt coming for some lame reason and that Ed is sick of pizza and is bringing teriyaki or some other crap. They can post something here if that happens to be untrue.

I'm ok with people coming over at 6 if they want...I'll probably want to mess around with making a new deck/decks so I'll just be hangin' out before 7. I don't think we'll really have an official start time this week.

Gabe: Wait wait, we doing it at Ben's or my place? I know Ben's is a bit easier to get too... But lugging Heroscape is kinda a pain. Um, so what say you all!

BEN: present. I vote heroscape if we can get it together. If not, I can see if my friend Mike (who actually showed up saturday and rang the wrong doorbell...:( ) would be interested in some boardgaming. We can also play some magic cards (I think my parents are gonna send me my set of cards, which is smaller than Ed's but will still add some new stuff to the mix). Final option if none of those is appealing or possible is to try to run some sort of one shot.

On the one shot front we can try the cyberpunk one shot Matt and Justin played, it turned out ok and is fine for up to 4 players. I also just got Fortress America and Shogun, which are good for 5 or 6 players respectively.

--Edmiao 15:51, 5 November 2007 (MST) I assume that was Jason above? never tried heroclix, that would be fun also. I vote heroscape, heroclix or magic, or perhaps a bit of either heroX plus magic.

--Gdaze-- Sure, any sound okay by me. Most likely I won't play all night however. I'll see if I can't pull together all the magic cards I've had over the years... not really that many so m'eh who knows. Maybe I'll pick up a deck this week just to test it out!

BEN: well, we've rearranged the table at my place, so it's pretty ideal for heroscape, but I know that's a lot of shit to move. So if you'd rather not, we should meet at gabe's house. In addition, lets bring some magic cardzors and we can play that as well when we get tired of slaughtering each others' mans. I still need to make a deck that, you know, doesn't suck. Royally. <---Not ben, but accurate.

--Edmiao 13:30, 7 November 2007 (MST) ben's is more convenient for the rest of us and it has a nice table, but you would have to lug heroscape. or if you want to set up a board beforehand, good reason to go to Gabes.

BEN: either location is fine by me. My parents are sending me my cards as well...don't think they'll be here by friday, but it would be cool if they were. I've been tempted to cannibalize some of Ed's decks, but have so far restrained myself: this way with Gabe's, mine, and Jason's cards, we'll have a fuckton to play with.

--Edmiao 15:30, 7 November 2007 (MST) Gabe, monochrome decks are for losers. that said, they will likely do well against my decks because i don't put much vs single color stuff in, but if we end up playing a lot i'm gonna have to make a white circle deck to teach you the error of your ways. dual color decks are very managable and the most fun. three plus color are real tricky.

Ben, you're wecome to canibalize some of my decks, except the folowing because they are my favorite or are new: the red/green direct damage with Uzra lands, the 5 color deck, the blue white enchantment alteration deck, the unsummon blue and black deck.

In other news, i just spend 2 hours at microsoft doing a usability study. they usually give one gratuity, but they gave me two for a longer study. for one of my gratuities, i got MS Office 2007 Professional (a $500 value) that I already have lined up a buyer for $270. Apparently this buyer is in the market for lots of Office software. cha ching! The other one i am going to get in january and hopefully get another MS Office 2007 (if you go over $600 you have to pay taxes). if you want to do it, sign up here

--Gdaze-- Holy crap! 99 pages of rules not counting the glossary! Reading these rules it awful too. The way they lay them out and the words they use to code everything. ALSO! Since when the fuck where magic cards so hard to find? I figured I'd pick up a new deck right? See what it is like. Toy R Us had known, despite having pokemon, yugioh, and some pony CCG. Boarder's doesn't carry any. No place in the mall did either (video game store and toy store). What the heck, I remember being able to get these things at 7-11's!

--Gdaze 00:34, 7 November 2007 (MST) Yeah... and uncle's games has them here. The thing is there are none in Bellevue. So around my work... zilch. I pulled out my old cards today. I had a lot more then I thought but due to an event where my dad's tub overran, cause he wasn't paying attention, it dripped water on my box. Guess the damage was more then I thought. I have some cards I "think" I can fix... including a force of nature! GAH!

--Gdaze -- Hmm it might..., cept this morning my dad informed me our iron broke! Some were just totally damaged and have already been tossed, nothing too rare. I think the box absorbed water or something and I didn't notice it, and then the water transfered to the cards. Anyway, I really enjoyed playing last time and am looking forward to some more magic this Friday! I bought some new cards too, I have to say I really like the Asian expansion and the Future Sight series is pretty neat too. I got this one card that is disgusting. Its called "Ed".

ZING! Besides that, maybe we should just play at my place? I can clear off that table up stairs at least for the duration of heroscape. Oh! I also have some 4 X 4 boards I used for table top so we can just put one of those on the card table. Sound good, d'yeah?

--Gdaze-- Man nobody posts, lame. QUICK QUESTION! Since it is just us playing magic for fun, we can use cards from unglued and unhinged right? I found some boosters for really cheap... I will not get to into magic again... --Edmiao 13:27, 7 November 2007 (MST) if you just want to expand your set, check out ebay and search "Magic the gathering lot". there is a lot of 750 cards closing in 8 minutes going for $1 plus $10 shipping. seems to be fairly regular occurence and at most these look like they go for $10-15 for the lot plus shipping. easy way to get a fuck load of commons (they all say "with rares" but who know how many rares are in there. I play with whatever cards, restricted or not. the cards that I own that are terribly unbalancing in just for fun play are Sol Rings (1 mana artifact tap to get 2 mana, that's ridiculous). I sometimes put them into decks that are fun but too slow.

--Gdaze-- Gotta love the Sol Rings, and cool cool. My other friend only plays tourny, and wins quite often, but I just enjoy the game. Reading the 99 page instruction manuel does not fill me with joy though. And sweeet, hope you are all ready for some magic! I'm gonna have hopefully 3 decks made, at least 2 reds and one black. I don't really do duel color... That is a nice deal but isn't as fun as opening new packs! Heh heh!
