Today it begins, issue #1 of Exemplars.  It is early summer, 1999.  Two men argue in the front room of a small apartment just north of the University District.  Unbeknownst to them, everything is about to change.  A disheveled man in a lab coat steps to a podium, and though he is not nervous, he is about to shake the world to its molten metal core.  For today, June 5, 1999, is the genesis of a new time. Today is part 1 of, 'The One'.
