Revision as of 09:15, 9 April 2008
This page is for discussion of stuff related to the game coming up this week, no matter when that actually is. For instance, we can all assume Nate isnt coming for some lame reason and that Ed is sick of pizza and is bringing teriyaki or some other crap. They can post something here if that happens to be untrue.

--Matts 10:50, 7 April 2008 (MST) Wife-to-be stuff has come up, so I won't be able to make it. I apologize in advance for being a flake.
--Edmiao 11:20, 7 April 2008 (MST) lame. gabe, WWolf? Me present, no pizza as usual
BEN: in the words of Eddus Cattus Asiaticus: LAME
GABE: What the... Um I dunno if I can be ready, I'll post later tonight if I can or not.
BEN: I'd prefer one of our campaigns if at all possible. If that's not possible, I'm down for a game of Titan, or I volunteer to run a one shot of something...any genre/system the players want, as long as I know by Wed. night: I've got several game ideas up on my page, and in the vein of "testing" things, I'd be happy to run one of them. If I GMed, we'd probably take 1 hour to make characters (strictly enforced time limit), and then play till we got bored. I'm also open to just magicking or doing other shit (other board games, smash bros., Having someone else with a more defined plan run a one shot, whatever) as long as I get my gaming fix for the week.
--Dieter the Bold 20:49, 7 April 2008 (MST) You better establish precedence soon, Matt. Or else this'll be the way it is after the marriage. And worse!!! Anyhoo, I'll be there. Down for whatever.
--Gdaze 22:52, 7 April 2008 (MST) So Dieter just called me and was wondering if I wanted to run that giant one shot. I don't have many of the plot twists worked out but could easily by this Friday. The problem with Werewolf is well, I slacked off and thought I had another week. I should be ready to go but looking over my notes, eh, it could take awhile.
WOULD THE GROUP BE INTERESTED in doing the giant one shot in Warhammer? It would take all of like 10 minutes to make characters as those rules are laid out. A bit of high fantasy?
--Brandon 23:07, 7 April 2008 (MST) Not playing Werewolf this Friday is all to the good for me, since it's unlikely that I can play (it's Kate's birthday weekend, and we have some things planned). But, the giant one-shot seemed really fun, so I'll encourage the idea from afar, and try to see if there is any chance of being able to get away to join in.
--Gdaze-- Other people give yay or nay soon if possible please.
--Edmiao 10:48, 8 April 2008 (MST) whatever. your mom said both yay and nay last night. (oh my god, that's really horrible, upon refelction)
BEN: like I said above, I'm good with whatever as well...
--Gdaze-- Well alright, lets do the giant one shot. I only wanna do it if people are down for it though. So well all set for Friday? Plus it could go really short, if so we can do something else. So uh yeah, and I will have pizza this week as well. Just so you all know crazy ideas are A-OK in this one shot! So once again incase you only skim this, is this what we will do Friday? Cause if not I'm gonna stop writting up stuff right now haha.
--Lee 16:12, 8 April 2008 (MST)One shot sounds good to me! I'm attending and will have pizza.
--Dieter the Bold 17:46, 8 April 2008 (MST) Want to do the one-shot. Want pizza. Want you to bring the PS3 and the EYE so we can get some of that action going if it goes short. Screw magic.
--Gdaze-- Haha, but the EYE is only two player. Its a fairly different game, more along the lines of Magi-Nation. Also I only really have two decks.
--Matts 22:48, 8 April 2008 (MST)UPDATE: I'm super-dumb and thought that something that was on Wednesday was on friday. I'll be at gaming this week. I'm perfectly willing to run the one-shot, since I don't want to have caused fruitless preparation.
BEN: um, in that case I vote campaign, just on principle. I'm still in for the one shot if that's what we decide, but as I said above, my first vote will always go to the campaign.
--Brandon 23:01, 8 April 2008 (MST) HAHA. Matt's dumb. Regardless, I won't be there on Friday. See you all next week, bitches!

--Edmiao 07:45, 4 April 2008 (MST)how about Saturday April 12?
--Lee 16:56, 5 April 2008 (MST) I have a housewarming to go to that day, so I won't be able to attend if it is on the 12th. I don't currently have plans for the other two Saturdays this month.
--Jason 12:10, 6 April 2008 (MST)Rumi's friends might be having a game night on the 12th, and we havent gone to one of her friends gatherings in a while, so I will probably be there, unless it doesnt materialize.
--63.226.217.71 15:39, 6 April 2008 (MST) no prob guys. still with ben, deiter, cheryl and I, four is plenty. gabe, we played carcasone uber last weekend with cheryl's brother. it's awesome and vaguely insane. we have all or almost all the expansions to it.
--Dieter the Bold 17:24, 6 April 2008 (MST) I have 2 or 3 other friends I can drag along, so we can definitely make up enough. I just picked up Starship of Catan, which I look forward towards playing tonight. Definitely down for this Saturday. And I'm completing my BSG collection, so once Season 1 and Razor arrives, I'll have everything BSG available for loan.
--Edmiao 08:48, 7 April 2008 (MST) i have played that. it's a 2 player game as i recall, it's ok. i also have the two player settlers game and the Spacefarers of catan, which is fun but has a large luck component, like someone gets lucky and gets a space jump and wins the game, or should; nevertheless a fun game.
--Dieter the Bold 10:43, 7 April 2008 (MST)I agree that it's ok. We'll see when Ben and I have a rematch tonight (he spanked me). We'll be testing our different opening gambits against each other. He thinks the Sensor Module is the best starting move to set yourself up as best as possible. I'm thinking the Command Module is best to have the chance at the most actions. Regardless, definitely bring regular ole Settlers along with anything else you find fun. I'd love to do some more Carcassone.
