--Matts 15:13, 27 November 2006 (MST)Also, you've gained 1 "influence" with Arturo Giovanni.
--Edmiao 11:40, 16 January 2007 (MST) Jacob couldn't care less if the empire fell to ruin. He knows nothing of the motivations of those who would overthrow the empire so he has no reason to support them. It all seems such a quagmire that he's not interested in trying to figure out who the good guys are, they are all probably bad anyway. We have either succeeded or botched our obligations with the pillar; would be nice to know if we botched it but no one else is interested or it is too hard to figure out, so that's water under the bridge. Would be interested in tracking Ambrose some more. Once we kill vonTeumar, settling down and making wine on our new farm sounds like not a bad life. And they lived happily ever after.
Ed: Unfortunately I'm pretty sure i will be visiting my sister in Eugene during the next WFRP session. Unfortunate, because i actually have something planned for the first time since this game rebooted. I'll lay the plan out here, perhaps some can get done "absent pc" style next session, up to you.
The goal is to kill count fry fucker and put someone in his place, probably Ignotus. mind that we aren't mentioning this to iggy as of yet.
First, I planned to burn a temp fortune point to say that Jacob had brought with him several disguises from Tilea. All would disguse his normal features with some of the following: a wig, beard or mustache, maybe an eye patch, skin toner. One disguise would look like a Tilean mercenary attached to the army. One like a beggar in sambles. One like a normal traveller, say from Bretonia. At end of last session I bought WS with my xp and wanted to reneg on that and instead buy mimic, useful for playing a Bret or Tilean.
He would start by spreading a rumors based in truths. Excerpts of a few conversations aimed to start rumors around town....
Mercenary: "General Firecracker, (whatever his name is), is a wizard and that he has won many a battle by tossing fireballs on the enemy army before battle (which is true, yes?). You see, it seems that the General is here at the behest of Kroeutzhofen's own local wizard, who is a man of great power in the region...who is it you ask? how should I know, I'm a merc from tilea. You tell me, who's in charge around here and weilds the most power? Anyway, your wizard seems to have sent his lackeys to contact our General about this secret passage between here and Tilea...top secret classified mind you. That's how we got here so fast." (I wanted this rumor to be a bit vague, and leave open the possibility that someone else prominent in town might be the wizard...... someone prominent, maybe on the town council, someone mysterious, someone who sent, or led?, a band to Tilea. Make iggy sweat a little. Future or parallel rumors would point higher up to fry fucker.)
Beggar: "I heard that Fry Fucker's own son is going to lead the charge. Fucker must be in tight with that General Firecracker to pull that off. Seems dangerous to me to send in your first born, Fucker must have some serious confidence in his son's abilities, or maybe he has some edge that we all don't know about...."
Mercenary: "oh, i've seen protection spells before. once saw an arrow bounce off of the General's apprentice Finn. thing just hit him square in the nose and bounced off. My buddy said that you have to make a few human sacrifices to pull off that kind of protection, but I didn't believe him. Them wizards can do lots."
Mercenary: "General's great, good leader, i'd follow him anywhere. Never made a single mistake, save his apprentice. seems his apprentice Finn turned to evil ways and ended up with the Scaven. that's rat-men to you. big into eating humans are the skaven, human sacrifices and all. You ask if they use them for magic spells? Oh, yeah, i've heard they do, human sacrifices make powerful spells, i've heard."
He also planned to comission a long dagger, jewel encrusted, highest quality. Might have to rob some stores or people for the jewels. he has 200gc to spend, hopefully not spedning it all on this item. This dagger would have two hilts, one at each end. thus Handle...Blade....Handle. with the blade about 10 inches long, just right for a two handed throat cut on a sleeping or inebrated victim. Perhaps a jagged edge as well, something that would leave a characteristic cut that a doctor would recognize from corpse to corpse as a signature of the killer.
Jacob plans to use this weapon to slit throats around town from drunk folks lured out into the forest to partake of the free Tilean wenches brought with the army, or unconsious beggars in the street, and the merchant who made the dagger, killed by his own weapon while he slept in his bed. Each would contribute various organs or body parts which Jacob will collect and hide under iggy's house. When the rumors are ripe and the town whipped into a frenzy about the ritualistic killings, it will be time to plant the harvested human parts in FryFuckers house and then call for an investigation with a wild mob.
obviously more than one sessions worth of work to be done.
Huh. scratch the above if we are going to kill the emperor. who'da thunk it.
