This page is for discussion of stuff related to the game coming up this week, no matter when that actually is. For instance, we can all assume Nate isnt coming for some lame reason and that Ed is sick of pizza and is bringing teriyaki or some other crap. They can post something here if that happens to be untrue.

Elemental: (to police chief, who thanked them for their good work) That certainly isn't going to help Viho's colossal ego. (or something like that...)
CyberJesus: I'm so sick and tired of this bullshit Thomas Kinkaid police state!

--67.170.22.232 01:23, 21 March 2009 (MST)Everyone gets 12xp!
GABE: So what happened?
Edmiao a lot. First, Emir Abu Kaliq got his ass kicked. he started trying to kill stockbrokers, and luckily Elemental missed his flying block to protect one, so now we have Emir for cold blooded murder in addition to hostage taking. Then we investigated the thing that Elemental stole from the nuclear plant. It turned out to be Opperman, the father of the bomb, who is now a massively radioactive power source corpse. He was being used as a powerplant, but maybe also the government was weaponizing him. We tracked it to Aeres Industries, followed it to a boat, kicked some more ass and recovered it, then dropped the corpse in a concrete box into the deep sea for storage. Tracked his origin with the help of CyberJesus to Area 7, a small underground lab where Opperman lived and studied his transformation. there we met others on the trail of opperman, three people from "The Bureau" at least one of whom can do the shadowcat through walls. Parted ways with them but they may be allies in the future.
GABE: Holy crap, sounds like we actually did real supers stuff, instead of the usual crapping around and abusing our powers. Dang it I missed it!
Edmiao yeah, and that's the breif version. it was an eventful session. i think things move more quickly with two players.
GABE: Yeah, plus now it seems like maybe we have a bit more of a clear cut goal? I dunno. I'm actually still unsure of just what we are doing as a gorup and what our goal currently is. Seems we have a lot of things going on.
Edmiao we're saving NYC from bad people. Viho just achieved his life goal of putting Emir behind bars. does your character care about why those men in black wanted to kidnap him? we have clues from last session. something to do with opperman
GABE: Well yeah but we made deals with them last time remember? I told them to just come talk to me. I thought there was some over-all kinda thing we were going at? Like the Explorators or whatever they are called. Or did we stop caring about the 3 robo-knights that escaped?
Edmiao oh, yeah, we think about them from time to time. not quite sure where that plot line stands
GABE: I guess we don't give much thought to wussy ass knights that run away (note that they kicked our ass in group combat)! Maybe we should start out next game by listing off everything that is going on.
ED: or, list it off right here......
GABE: Well I GUESS we could list it here, let me add some. Go ahead and fix me spelling if ye would.
Anything else?
Edmiao feel free to edit or add to my things as well.
--Gdaze 13:19, 24 March 2009 (MST) Man we really do have a full plate here. Were we going any more research on these gene company, like whats the deal with them? Or does that tie more in with Emir Abu Kaliq? And I'm assuming we are making this list I/C since we got so much crayness going on.
Edmiao what is "I/C"?
--Gdaze - In Character. Just meant that you know, this reflects planning we've done before game.
Things that are going on:
the juice and his son are at large, not seen since they helped with the battle vs Emir
Emir abu kaliq is in prison, captured for putting a virus into wall street, taking stock brokers hostage, demanding ransom and killing one of them.
Oppenheimer, the radioactive power source corpse, is in an oceanic trench sealed in a concrete box. the feds want him back and they know we took him. we have been avoiding the feds.
The government was maybe using oppenheimer to make some weapon, they seem to need "quicksilver" ie silver serpent, to make this weapon.
The Artifecier (sp?) thinks the old ones are waking up. who is the artificer? who are the old ones?
The Explorators (SP???) work for the above named client and have brought back 3 ancient warriors, who are now at large.
Super Roids Factory Super roids factory was taken down, head scientist killed, links were found to Emir abu kaliq. got warrant for his office and found more incriminating evidence. this issue resolved..?
--Matts 10:57, 25 March 2009 (MST)Given the essentially episodic nature of this game, it's not necessary for you guys to spend a lot of time tying up loose ends; they're loose for a reason. That said, if you investigate something, that's a clear sign to me that you guys like that stuff, but given that investigative gameplay generally bogs down, and the pace of things is picking up, the group may not have the time to really get the answers they're looking for.
Oh, and "Opperman" was my supers character, Oppenheimer is the man who created the atom bomb and whose energetic corpse you found.

Plans to save Danny-Girl from the dragon
These are the ones i remember.....
Fight the dragon, kill it
Lyra told us where to find the freezing Tears of _____ so we can put out the dragon's breath, right before she extinguished the eternal forge flame in our temple (bitch) by sucking its soul out like a vampire. She will help us fight the dragon. In return we agreed to let her strike the killing blow IF we successfully obtain the Tears. Other allies could also be enlisted in the fight.
Swindle all around
Talk to Grundbad, get him to fight the dragon and kill it. Also, talk to Oryxis, pledge to deliver the ruby shield in return he frees Danny-girl. Dragon dies: Danny free. Grundbad dies, danny free. Win - Win.
Deal with the dragon
Give the dragon something he wants more than Danny. Say the Ruby shield or freeing Iximion.
Dragon vs Dragon
Free Iximion, tell him Oryxis is getting up in his magic shit and doens't he want to kick the shit out of Oryxix for learning magic?
BEN: that's...hmmm, I didn't think of that. That's a really good idea, actually. Oh, I'd also like to add: along with good insight in the last session, the bonus XP was due to Aefra's exceptionally commendable moral decision, to stay loyal to Grendel despite no perceived benefit. I tried ot make it as easy as possible to cast off from that, and I was very pleasantly surprised when Aefra did the heroic thing and said "FU, crotchety old bigot! BFFs 4 life!" So, a tip o' the XP hat to Aefra this past session.
Edmiao ha, groovey. seemed like the only choice she could make, actually, she's very loyal.
Yeah, gabe, they would have gotten their asses kicked by Lyra, but again, had to play the character. Calling in the guards seemed like the next best option to fight her without getting our asses kicked. it is much more interesting with her still at large, though. It occurs to me that the original plan was to have the flame put out to retrieve Danny-girl before administering the cure anyway, so folks must not have been too concerned about putting the flame out.....?
I like the Salazar's pet idea. foom!
GABE: Calling guards is a good idea, it makes it so we look good. And yeah, lets use the pet, bonus points Aten!
--Dieter the Bold 12:42, 19 March 2009 (MST) Nice idea, Aeten. And I vote we cut ties w/ Lyra. Not because Galen's super-pissed about the forge, but because I'm not sure we want to get involved with a very mercenary slayer who goes after the souls (XP) of powerful beings/things. I just don't think she's good peoples.
Edmiao If we cut ties with her, then we owe her some LOOTZ. what was the deal we made?
GABE: Um, she is no worse then me, and she sticks to her word, to the T. If we don't do it, we can't get the tears. Tears are very needed, with them I could perhaps make something to dose the dragon's breath. (Meta-game, we are still most likely going to loose some characters, but what a fight, with a dragon! Speaking entirly outta game, I wanna fight a dragon.)
Edmiao Metagame: haven't we wanted to fight a dragon from the get go? So, i think those characters with pride should suck it up and we should stay with the deal with Lyra, we need as much help as possible. She'll help us fight the dragon, and if she dies, cest la vie.
