Edmiao been a long hiatus. who's in this week? I will be there, no pizza. what's the game, we did do a couple of supers in those "????" slots above, was it two sessions of supers, or did you all play on 4/3?
Matts supers is fine with me. Got to do some work to get caught up, but no problem.

--Dieter the Bold 11:52, 13 April 2009 (MST) Hey, now. I've been getting my geek on down at Norwescon 32. It was pretty fun. They had a fuckton of D&D luminaries there which generated some hilarious stories when you got several together and they started shooting the shit and reminiscing. I'm totally down for a pirates game! Watched Dorkness Rising and have to agree with a line from that movie, "Everything's better with pirates!" That said, if opinion went towards PA I'd be down. I totally didn't (and still don't really) understand the whole Dyson sphere setting, so I wasn't very enthused about it.

Next step in Super Heroes
Matts - Ok, we're going to start this session the day Silver Serpent gets back from the moon. I am going to autocratically state that's a week from the end of last session.
Here's what happened in the meantime:
-> 1. The Guardians and the US Government came to some sort of resolution about Oppenheimer's remains. How exactly is up to you guys.
-> 2. There's been a rash of bank robberies by someone named "The Moneychanger".
-> 3. Drug dealers and criminals all over the city are getting beat up, and quotes from Oliver Cromwell are left at the scene.
-> 4. You guys did something about Cortez, I'm assuming; what was it?
Edmiao good question, how to you put someone like cortez in jail and keep him there? I think if we just tell the govt the whole truth, there's not much more to say. "yeah, so we had oppenheimer, and silver serpent took him to the moon. what more can i do to help you today officer?" btw I'd like to do a little rp during that week while serpent is on the moon, just some character to character interaction (ie Viho wants to test out Elemental's book and see if he can put some safeguards into it).
GABE: 11:06, 17 April 2009 (MST) I'm totally okay with some RP even though I won't be directly invovled. Haha, and I like your way of making amends with the government, well its on the moon, go get it! I say we stick Cortez in jail, won't hold him but m'eh, till they make us a supers jail not much we can do. (Wait why are we throwing him in jail? He was only after a box that everyone else was after... You know what, lets just let him go, we kick his ass everytime he shows up, if he really wants to continue to show up and have his immortal ass beaten thats fine with me.)
Also do we really still work for the government? We don't really listen to them anymore and it is clear they wanted to kid nap me and turn me into some kinda power storage device...
Edmiao we work for the people of new york city, we are deputized officers in nyc. we seem to be semi accountable to the mayor and police chief. we seem to have not many ties to the federal government. Cortez is guilty of attempted murder (us), breaking and entering into Venture industries, trying to free a prisoner (the juice), bringing a giant colossus into nyc to wreak mayhem. much more. i thinke we should give it our best try to contain him. does he need his voice and hands to do his magic? was it all through foci?
GABE: Didn't we steel government properity though? From what I remember most of his magic was foci, although I believe he cast some sort of magic last time, like a bolt of something. Oh and he can create darkness and has some sort of movement based power as he can arrive at places almost instantly.

Fight the dragon, kill it
Lyra told us where to find the freezing Tears of _____ so we can put out the dragon's breath, right before she extinguished the eternal forge flame in our temple (bitch) by sucking its soul out like a vampire. She will help us fight the dragon. In return we agreed to let her strike the killing blow IF we successfully obtain the Tears. Other allies could also be enlisted in the fight.
Swindle all around
Talk to Grundbad, get him to fight the dragon and kill it. Also, talk to Oryxis, pledge to deliver the ruby shield in return he frees Danny-girl. Dragon dies: Danny free. Grundbad dies, danny free. Win - Win.
Deal with the dragon
Give the dragon something he wants more than Danny. Say the Ruby shield or freeing Iximion.
Dragon vs Dragon
Free Iximion, tell him Oryxis is getting up in his magic shit and doens't he want to kick the shit out of Oryxix for learning magic?
BEN: that's...hmmm, I didn't think of that. That's a really good idea, actually. Oh, I'd also like to add: along with good insight in the last session, the bonus XP was due to Aefra's exceptionally commendable moral decision, to stay loyal to Grendel despite no perceived benefit. I tried ot make it as easy as possible to cast off from that, and I was very pleasantly surprised when Aefra did the heroic thing and said "FU, crotchety old bigot! BFFs 4 life!" So, a tip o' the XP hat to Aefra this past session.

Yeah, gabe, they would have gotten their asses kicked by Lyra, but again, had to play the character. Calling in the guards seemed like the next best option to fight her without getting our asses kicked. it is much more interesting with her still at large, though. It occurs to me that the original plan was to have the flame put out to retrieve Danny-girl before administering the cure anyway, so folks must not have been too concerned about putting the flame out.....?
I like the Salazar's pet idea. foom!

Not because Galen's super-pissed about the forge, but because I'm not sure we want to get involved with a very mercenary slayer who goes after the souls (XP) of powerful beings/things. I just don't think she's good peoples.
Edmiao If we cut ties with her, then we owe her some LOOTZ. what was the deal we made?
GABE: Um, she is no worse then me, and she sticks to her word, to the T. If we don't do it, we can't get the tears. Tears are very needed, with them I could perhaps make something to dose the dragon's breath. (Meta-game, we are still most likely going to loose some characters, but what a fight, with a dragon! Speaking entirly outta game, I wanna fight a dragon.)
Edmiao Metagame: haven't we wanted to fight a dragon from the get go? So, i think those characters with pride should suck it up and we should stay with the deal with Lyra, we need as much help as possible. She'll help us fight the dragon, and if she dies, cest la vie.
