Dieter's Den
Dieter's Den
Currently located on the cusp between Ballard and Fremont, Dieter's Den is the perfect place to engage in an evening of fun and relaxed boardgame or RPG play. Many hip, local shops providing food and drink are available nearby, including a 7-11, Fred Meyer, and PCC.
Off-street parking is theoretically available, but is close to Capitol Hill levels of difficulty (close, but better).
Inside you will find a large and solid dining table, perfect for emperor-style Magic games, mass-combat on hex maps, boardgames of all kinds, and, of course, dice rolling. A bonus feature is the removable centerpiece, allowing for larger groups or more intimate gatherings.
A small, yet well-appointed kitchen has a well-circulating oven and stable refrigerator for any cooking & cooling needs. Microwave & toaster oven are also available.
Other conveniences include a bathroom (no fan) and a cozy TV room with a comfortable couch and a low coffee table. Perfect for some intimate Rock Band, Halo or Wii action.
Dieter's Den is a true home away from home.

From Montlake/Capitol Hill via Eastlake Ave: It's recommended to avoid Eastlake until the bridge over Salmon Bay due to the number of lights, single lanes and congestion. I recommend either Broadway to Roanoke, then down Harvard onto Eastlake. Or 19th Ave E until it ends, with a gentle left onto Interlaken Dr E. Take a left onto E Interlaken Blvd and eventually merge onto Delmar Dr E. Follow the curve into Roanoke, then right onto Harvard and follow onto Eastlake. Or go down 23rd Ave E, which becomes 24th Ave E. Take a left onto Boyer Ave E. Stay on Boyer until it becomes Fuhrman Ave E. Follow until it meets Eastlake.
Once on Eastlake, either follow it as it becomes 11th Ave NE, then take a right onto NE 45th St and follow the directions above for I-5, or exit onto Lincoln Way (large half-loop right before NE Campus Pkwy). Follow Lincoln Way back under Eastlake onto NE 40th St. Either follow NE 40th St through Wallingford to Stone Way using the I-5/Wallingford directions, or take a left on 2nd Ave NE, then a right onto NE Pacific St. This eventually becomes N Pacific St and then curves into N 34th St. Follow N 34th St, then take a right onto Fremont Ave N, then take a left onto N 35th St and follow it until it becomes N 36th St. As it turns into NW 36th St, follow the curve around into Leary Way, then take your second right onto NW Bowdoin Pl. From Montlake/Capitol Hill via Montlake Bridge: Take 23rd Ave NE (becomes 24th Ave NE), follow the curves as it becomes E Montlake Pl E and finally Montlake Blvd E. Cross the bridge onto Montlake Blvd NE, then take a left onto NE Pacific St. Keep on Pacific until it passes under Eastlake and becomes NE Northlake Way. Keep on Northlake (it becomes N Northlake Way) until it passes under the Aurora, then Fremont Bridges. Take a right onto Evanston Ave N, then left onto N 36th St. Stay on 36th and follow its curve around into Leary Way, then take your second right onto NW Bowdoin Pl. Go up the steep hill and find the brick building on your right, a house or two past 2nd Ave NW.
From Ballard: Find your way onto Leary Way NW or NW Market St. Via Leary Way, simply follow it until you see NW Bowdoin Pl. on your left (a little past Tacoma Screw hardware store and before the light), or if traffic is heavy, just wait at the light and take a left onto NW 39th St, then a quick left up 2nd Ave NW and right onto NW Bowdoin Pl. Via NW Market St, follow it West and then South. Once it becomes N Market St, take a right onto Greenwood Ave N. Follow South, then take a right onto N Bowdoin Pl. This becomes NW Bowdoin Pl once you pass 1st Ave NW. Brick building on your left a little before you reach 2nd Ave NW.
