The opponents weren't quite equal level, they had no special abilities, there was no need for any grand strategy. It was still a brisk, fun time. But it didn't seem to me that it required cleverness or great deeds. We definitely had some people being clever, but if they hadn't been, I think we still would have been fine. Still, a good sorta' test run on our characters' combat abilities.

--Brandon 16:52, 1 September 2008 (MST) I agree with Dieter's assessment as well, with the added comment that I thought our group worked together remarkably well - better than I even thought it would - with everyone being true to their character concept and contributing nicely. Brisk and fun all around. Though, I should say that I can see ways the fight could've gone bad for us. We probably would've been ok, but it could have been much worse for us than it was.

GABE: I dunno, I took an assload of damage, but I thought we played pretty well. If those guys were armored up it would have been very different. Also clubs aren't KAs by the way, which would have even made them easier. So an easier encounter but at the same time could have turned on us pretty easily. I used an entire potion and half too, so a good drain on resources.

BEN: I'm glad we're all basically on the same page. I thought that this should be a relatively "easy" fight for you guys, but I also agree with Gabe and Brandon that a few unlucky dice rolls, missteps, or slightly better equipped enemies could have quickly turned the tide against you. Really, the difficulty of fights is a question of how likely the characters are to lose: in this case the chance was slim but certainly not nonexistent, and it's useful for me to know that you guys see a slim chance of defeat as easy rather than intermediate. Extrapolating on this, I would assume you are all ok with a significantly greater chance of defeat in more difficult fights?

--Edmiao 10:50, 2 September 2008 (MST) bring it on, biatch. we also could have prepared better, if Aefra was armed with Gabes firebreathing potions, it would be nasty. freakin flying fire breathing fairy.

--Dieter the Bold 11:16, 2 September 2008 (MST) Ed's statement reminds of this
