Lt. Maniersi: Flight Officer's Log ..... Joran Maniersi ..... Star Trek: The Triangle Missions

The Niven has finally completed repairs and we've been sent back into The Triangle. It's nice to finally be away from Starbase 27. Captain Curtiss isn't the most friendly or hospitable of base commanders and there's really nothing much to do here. Although after the briefing we received his attitude makes more sense. Apparently he's not on the fast-track for promotions and is now being passed up by his juniors. That must have a certain sting to it. I think he's starting to get desperate. He publicly requested a transfer to command a ship!

Things are the same as they always are in the triangle... chaotic. We're currently transporting several discharges from Starfleet service. All Bajoran, and likely new Maquis recruits. In this case I can't say I blame them. The Cardassians are a particularly unevolved species. The few unfortunate times I've been in proximity to any have not been pleasant. Dark, brutish minds. Peace is important and sacrifices have to be made, but the sacrifices the Bajoran people will have to make under Cardassian rule will likely be large. Unfortunately not everyone is enlightened enough to see the big picture. There are many in Starfleet who think the discharges are traitors. I've already been witness to one incident in 11 Aftward. Although that did bring out some interesting results, with half the COs on the ship showing up to the brig in their pajamas. Or less. Captain Koyanagi definitely has some interest in Captain Frazier, and vice versa.

An interesting diversion to all this is our other passenger: a criminal named Wilz. Seems he's involved in some kind of heist at Memory Alpha. Not sure exactly who he's involved with. Very mysterious. But that's more Akoval's area. I'll help with ascertaining truthfulness in any interrogations, but I don't think anything beyond that is a good use of my time. Things are much more interesting at this charmingly named station of Hope's End. Many colorful characters around. I'll need to keep my senses open to see what pops up...
