Kristom Delnor ... Star Trek: The Triangle Missions ... Starbase 27

What most people don't know is that Kristom's transfer wasn't an entirely willing one. One of his previous host Ylana's daughters, Tisma, had grown up to become an amazing performance artist who had already gained interstellar acclaim. Her specialty was in holomorphic trans-cultural dance, a performance art that involved using micro-holoprojectors placed about the body to give the appearance of fluid and artistic transformation between multiple forms during an interpretive dance. Newly joined as well as still young, Kristom's personal competitive (and now male) nature combined with the symbiot's (female, to-date) confidence and proclivities to lead him into some unreflective "mating displays". Which is a polite way of saying he tried to show off to anyone he thought would be impressed into getting into bed with him. Like Kirk and Riker, but minus the creepiness. Unfortunately for Kristom, these "displays" were unreflective in the sense that he wasn't careful to check where he was or who he was pursuing. This led to an encounter with the previously mentioned daughter Tisma while she in "disguise" at a party. Tisma enjoyed circulating at parties while holomorphing between appearances as a continuation of her art, and Kristom wasn't in the habit of mentioning he was joined (felt it was name-dropping), so an "anonymous" encounter was consumated. Upon returning to the party, the pair encountered one of Tisma's admirers, who inquired as to the gentleman's identity with a little bit of jealousy. Feeling his competitive nature, Kristom proudly gave his name, which led to Tisma's fainting away out of shock. As Trill have a taboo against romantic encounters with previous hosts' lives, called Reassociation, Kristom could have been exiled from Trill society for his actions. Using this knowledge, Tisma's admirer forced Kristom to "voluntarily" exile himself to a remote corner of Federation space. Bartering his skills as a Scientist, Kristom was able to receive a comission from Starfleet as an Ensign in the Science department on Starbase 27. Kristom is ashamed of violating the Reassociation taboo as well as having been beaten by Tisma's admirer, so he keeps only minimal contact with the Trill Science Ministry and most of Trill society. He hopes to pioneer some amazing new discoveries on Starbase 27 that will so eclipse his unfortunate mistake that he can return to the Trill mainstream.
