- Captain Newton took his infantry company to Central Park to try and recover vehicles, weapons, equipment and personnel from the National Guard Armory located there. He has not returned yet, but is reported to be on his way back.
- As of Episode 14, Captain Newton has returned with the contents of the National Guard Armory. He has also recruited an additional reduced infantry company and gathered a few hundred civilian dependents (a total of about 400 people) and brought them back to Elma. This is raises the local population by roughly 12-15% in one fell swoop.
