Swarm Behavior research is primarily a computer science effort to coordinate the actions of a large group (swarm) of smaller components, such as nanomachines. These behavior routines will help the machines coordinate their activities to increase efficiency and allow for the completion of tasks that would be otherwise impossible. Swarm behavior allows nanomachines to behave with a small amount of limited "intelligence."
