Corpsman, 2nd Class Caryn Delacroix is a nurse aboard the Constitution NX-04 in Boldly, We Go.... Caryn grew up in the city of Cherbourg, France and had a comfortable, but not wealthy upbringing. When she was 23 she entered nursing school, and after graduating she enlisted in the French navy and was stationed at the Cherbourg naval facility. She served as an RN there for 14 years before applying for and being accepted for the deep space mission. To many government insiders her assignment was a shock, given that she has no spacefaring experience, nor does she have any political ties.

Personal

Caryn is slightly overweight, barely meeting the Starfleet guidelines when she enlisted. She has a magnetic gaze and captivating smile, accentuated by her rubinesque features to make her much more attractive in person than her physical traits might indicate. When coupled with her charming and outgoing personality she becomes almost irresistible to members of both genders and many races. This contributes to an unmatchable bedside manner. While her friendliness might seem flirtatious to some (many), she is extremely careful to avoid impropriety in all forms, and keeps all shipboard relationships casual and professional. She is a distant relative of Eugene Delacroix, French painter of the romantic movement.
