This page is for discussion of stuff related to the game coming up this week, no matter when that actually is. For instance, we can all assume Nate isnt coming for some lame reason and that Ed is sick of pizza and is bringing teriyaki or some other crap. They can post something here if that happens to be untrue.

--Edmiao 23:27, 19 November 2006 (MST)--Um, given the state of PA, i would like to continue it until a plotline is resolved and the group reassembled. Or maybe we'll all die.
Ben here: I think it's a good "cliffhanger" moment, and I'd like to try to stick to the "3 sessions apiece" setup for now. I want the players to have a chance to stew over what's happened before plunging right back in. That having been said, a majority vote can overrule me, but that's how I'd like to do it.
--Edmiao 23:27, 19 November 2006 (MST) Disagreeing with the GM is dubious at best, but I must. Cliffhangers are great for TV shows and movies, but I think in roleplaying...not so good. It's because of the groove. When the action is happening, everyone is in tune with the story. take a month break and then we've forgotten many of the subtleties of what characters were thinking. I like breaks better when the story is in a lull, that way we have some warm up time to get back into things. Say Billy is annoyed with Bobby for stealing his booze. He may forget that he was so peeved in a month.
--Jason 23:30, 19 November 2006 (MST)I am also for the cliffhanger. I think that, while its possible there may be subleties forgotten, in this case, we have a perfect cliffhanger. Given the circumstance, even if one of us was mad at another, once this is resolved, assuming it resolves satisfactorily, I would assume those bygones would again be, bygones.

Other random comments to the group
--Edmiao 18:52, 6 November 2006 (MST)again i cleaned this up. i moved some supers conversation to the discussion page on jason's world politics.
--BenofZongo 17:41, 7 November 2006 (MST)Just as sort of a poll: I'm going to make my reservations to fly home for xmas soon: Are we wanting to game on the 22nd or not? If we are, I will probably leave the morning of the 23rd, but if we don't, I'll probably leave on the 22nd.
--Matts 18:03, 7 November 2006 (MST)I'll probably be gone on the 22nd. At least, I was thinking I'd be gone for two Friday Nights, and that makes the 22nd and 29th, since I'll probably be coming back on the 31st.
--Jason 18:11, 7 November 2006 (MST)Whats the deal with the 24th of November, day after Thanksgiving?
--Edmiao 18:36, 7 November 2006 (MST) I will likely be available Nov 24th. I may, or may not, have relatives in town December 22nd and 29th. likely I will be open for one of the two, and if we do game Dec 22/29, I might want to bring my brother-in-law, who will be visiting.
--BenofZongo 19:10, 7 November 2006 (MST)I will definitely be gone the 29th of december. I should be good to game on the 24th, though I'll double check with Heather, since we're having thanksgiving at her parents' house. Like I said above, I should be good for the 22nd of December as long as there's enough interest.
--DietertheBold 08:39, 8 November 2006 (MST) I should be good for the 22nd of December, but unsure of Thanksgiving. I may be out of town. That's still up in the air. If I'm in town then I'm totally down.
--BenofZongo 23:48, 12 November 2006 (MST)I plan on seeing casino royal at the cinerama next saturday: anyone else interested? I"m thinking the 2:05pm show, but I could probably make the 11am one as well. I"ll probably buy my ticket tomorrow.
--Edmiao 10:53, 14 November 2006 (MST) I will be late this week, maybe 8pm, no later than 9pm. non-ideal for potentially exciting early game, but so it goes.
--BenofZongo 17:34, 19 November 2006 (MST)Another thing I'd like to bring up for discussion: the comic book reading. This is something that started out as a part-time, one to two people at a time kind of thing. But at last session it was one player talking to me, five reading comic books. I understand that when the group is fragmented, and all the possible plans have been made, people get bored, and I apologize for that, it happens. But I think that it's disruptive because it means that players are essentially completely tuned out: I have to directly address someone to get them to pay attention. That has it's good sides too, in that players aren't very aware out of game of things they shouldn't know in game, but...I just think that if this gets out of hand, it could get very disruptive. I will do my best to work around this, but if people could make an effort to be aware of when I'm addressing other players whose characters are in their characters vicinity/story arc/whatever, that would be good.
--Jason 18:52, 19 November 2006 (MST)Its not just comic book reading, its novel reading, DnD book reading and other non-game related stuff that constantly happens. I just dont think we can curb it. We have too many players to expect to be able to have everyone constantly involved in anything other than dungeon crawls (which we never do).
--Edmiao 23:32, 19 November 2006 (MST) I like the comics for when the action is on others, especially last session where each person was <50% game time. However, there were times when I noticed players were in the scene and they were reading comics/books. bad.
The next step in WHFRP
--Matts 22:27, 19 November 2006 (MST)Cleared out old discussion. I'm going to do a few things from now on, I hope: I'll put links to new material I've made that is especially relevant to the current section.
For these pages, if only the player involved wouild read it, that'd be great, cause that means less drop pods. Also, if you guys could put your motivations and thoughts about your characters on these pages, that'd be great.
The Next Step in PA
Considerations for Wik: Stop breaking yourself!
Considerations for Hassan: Find hookers.
Considerations for Jason: write his considerations under the right fucking heading for fucking, fucker. Nobody's looking for hookers in PA...at least not that their aware of (See Considerations for Angus and Grant, above, unless your NOT Angus and Grant, in which case use your fucking imagination).
Considerations for who wrote this: know the difference between you're and your, and they're and their
Oh, and yeah Im a dunce for writing about Hassan in PA
--BenofZongo 20:56, 24 October 2006 (MDT)Agreed...I'm a dunce for mispelling you're and they're
--BenofZongo 15:58, 2 November 2006 (MST)As those who were in attendance at the last PA session know, we ended in the middle of a combat. A big, drawn out combat. I'll try to have things set up to make this go as smoothly as possible, but a large portion of this next session will be spent in combat time (as in, using turns). We'll start as soon as we have 4 players, or it is 7 o'clock, whichever comes 2nd, so try to be on time. Strict limits on how much time you may spend executing/planning your actions will be enforced.
--BenofZongo 02:06, 12 November 2006 (MST)I'd like the group to consider whether they want wik to be with them in the mountains or left behind in Three rivers: he'll have stuff to do at the bleeding rules, and we've made some errors. FIrst, you can only get the "stop bleeding" effect if you do nothing else in the preceding turn. second, under the section "death": if you are at or below zero body you lose one body per turn automatically. Bleeding rules apply, usually, regardless of whether you are at or above 0. My plan for using these rules is as follows, for simplicity: at or below 0 body, you lose one body per turn, and take STUN (but no additional body) as per the bleeding rules. YOu do not bleed if you are above 0 stun. Ok?
--BenofZongo 19:22, 12 November 2006 (MST)I'll run the "run up" to next session however you guys want. I have plans for Wik if he's not with you guys, so I'd rather not leave him at the Kromminers' place: he can be either in 3 rivers, or with you guys (if y'all can figure out a way to get him there prior to next session). I'd prefer to save dice rolling for the actual session, though, but I'm happy to hear the layout of what anyone wants to do.
--Jason 01:30, 13 November 2006 (MST)I dont see any way he could be with us, though if he were at the Kromminers we could have devised some way to communicate with them so he can get a ride part way or we can pick him up or something.
--128.95.11.21 10:30, 13 November 2006 (MST)I've discussed it with Matt and I think we're going to leave him in 3 rivers: there'll be stuff for him to do there, it just means we'll be split into 3 groups for a bit. I presume there will be some planning and such, during which time I'll handle matt's stuff. Also, if/when Sarah and Pierre reach lonesome hill (and/or the rest of the group, if they want to go that far), they can do some trading, which I may ask you, Jason, to handle. I'll send you an email letting you know enough of the situation there so that you can take care of that if necessary.
--Edmiao 14:38, 13 November 2006 (MST)Shall we plan a little for what we are to do after the initial fiasco wraps up? At least some of us need to get back to 3 rivers to get Garcon and Wik and our trailer. Shennong would like to continue to follow leads to Edgewood to trace the dynamite. If that turns up nothing, maybe try Forks again? Another idea I've had is to think about trying to pick up the trail again from Littleton. It'll be washed up, but were they traveling on a road away from town? I forget. Sam wants to get out of dodge after checking up on Edgewood, so should we be all packed up to go? Thus my question is should we pack up most of our stuff from Joey's place before we go to Edgewood or after? After that last fight, Shennong would much like to spend two days at Joey's to make up some new healing herbs (all out). He's worried that we may not have the time, though, if 3 rivers decides to march to war quickly.
--71.35.117.2 19:33, 16 November 2006 (MST) did Sarah ever look for the Harbinger computer through Falls cyberspace? or in Falls proper? maybe that's what was causing their problem
--Edmiao 11:38, 19 November 2006 (MST) On the one hand, Shennong will be worried about his friends, and suggest radioing 3 rivers. Because of his distrust in Sarah's judgement, he is also considering that maybe he and Grant should go back and blow up the Harbinger project before the others come back. We've had a few days to recover from the radiation sickness, we should be able to go back now. The other lead Shennong wanted to follow - the dynamite trail in edgewood - he thinks has likely gone very cold by now. What say you Grant?
--BenofZongo 17:37, 19 November 2006 (MST)One other thing: I'd like an email from each of you describing your feelings/loyalties towards each of the other characters. This is not to be put on the wiki, because I'd like the full version of what your character thinks about everyone else. In particular, I'd like to know about which other characters your character feels loyal to, and why, and which characters they particularly dislike/distrust/hate/are planning to kill and why. In the next week would be ideal, but anytime before next session will do.
