Kklyionktrkkkf 'Leonidas' Y'Shi

Lieutenant Commander, Dr. Kklyionktrkkkf Y'Shi, known as Commander Y'Shi or Leonidas, is the chief physical sciences officer aboard the FSS Tahoma. Commander Y'Shi worked previously as a researcher in stellar and gravimetric anomalies at the joint Saurian/Vulcan adjunct of the Vulcan science academy. When a full-scale expedition into the Shackleton Expanse was first proposed, Leonidas was chosen from a short list of knowledgeable individuals who might accompany the ship and provide guidance. As the vision for the endeavor coalesced, it was determined that he needed to have at least a basic understanding of Starfleet rules and regulations, so he was given a 6 week intensive course and granted a mostly honorary rank of Lieutenant Commander to represent his skill and department stature.

Leonidas is a fun-loving prankster, who, unlike most saurians, has almost no tolerance for alcohol. A single shot of saurian brandy is enough to get him very drunk. When he does drink alcohol it is generally fruity 'flavored beer' type drinks. He also is a frequent user of psychotropic drugs for recreation and 'research'. In his spare time he makes dance videos and teaches dance classes in the holodeck. In his youth he was an excellent 3d chess player, but since he became a researcher he rarely plays.
