For instance, we can all assume Nate isnt coming for some lame reason and that Ed is sick of pizza and is bringing teriyaki or some other crap. They can post something here if that happens to be untrue.

BEN: as of right now, I assume we are playing at my place, but I"m open to being at your place, Ed. Also, I don't have any multiplayer games, so you'll be in charge of the actual game(s) (ie, SETTLERS, hooray!)

BEN: Is age of mythology the one we played last time? I wasn't terribly impressed with it, thought it was a bit of a static game. My friend is almost certainly coming.

--Edmiao 14:22, 19 October 2007 (MST) I was trying to remember who we played that with last time. i recall it wasn't such a good game that we played. the problems were that it is really ideal for 3 players, maybe 4 and we had like 5 or 6? which made the game too short. it's a very good game for 3 players, worth another try. I could stop by home and pick up cosmic encounter, the new version. or carcassone or roborally, some of my other favorites.

BEN: well, it will probably be me, you, and Mike (friend from work) unless you are bringing more people: if we have 4+ I say we play settlers, if we have 3, we can play age of mythology again. It does seem like it would be cooler with less people, that way there are more turns too.

--Gdaze So I was looking at the Warhammer 40k rpg and was taking a look at how they do the stats. It seems that gone is perception from being a skill and now is a stat. I don't really see how many skills it will apply to besides awareness... Maybe gambling? Who knows. Anyway they have really posted any equipment or how they are going to handle cybernetics but so far it seems very similar to the Inquestion rpg. I'm pretty hopeful for it over all as they have whole space sector maps being made. One down side... what is up with the 18 months between each big expansion? Thats just stupid... Plus I still can't figure the 2008 start date, less of course they are just trying to turn out more of their over prices WHFRP books before christmas.

The Next Step in Exemplars

--Edmiao 20:13, 7 October 2007 (MST) y'all who making characters.... consider saving some points for a community base of operations. Jason and I had a concept that my character's company could be a base for the group. I have allocated 43 character points for a 217 point base, which should make the majority of the base, other characters can donate points to make additions. Base still needs to be designed, anything you want on a wish list? see Venture Industries HQ for a first draft of potential base.

--Jason 11:04, 8 October 2007 (MST)Exemplars primer: Everyone is always allowed to read any page that doesnt say secret in the name or specifically address individual characters or players. More world events and history is yet to come, I hope to have a good world for you all soon.

Clarification

Pages with a player's name in them are specific to that player and therefore secret.

Be prepared for storytelling devices. In other words, we may, in the middle of a session, switch to a flashback and hand out new characters for everyone. Or we might start a session this way. This might not always be mentioned ahead of time.

For Nate: Feel free to come whenever you want. I can always find a good NPC for you to play. Some will have secrets, however, and in these cases you will need to be discreet about that. Only tell players things if it makes good sense.
