I was thinking to myself earlier today about how cool a space simulation game would be if it de-emphasized the visual, dogfighting style of gameplay and focused more on instrumentation, strategy, tactics, and situational awareness.
Then I was like, well that's just a sub simulation game, and what I really want is a sub simulation game with the freeform exploration and trading and such of a space game.
Then I thought, HOLY HELL, a freeform submarine game would be freaking dope, and a setting writes itself!
So, because I really like the idea of a "Crimson Skies Underwater" setting, I think a sit-down game with that (ie, WW2-era alternate history with privateers and such) would be pretty dope.
