Talk:WHFRP Reboot Recap
WHFRP Reboot talk archive Old discussion moved to an archive because I thinke we have come to a solution detailed below.
Ben: Wow. Well, I think it's pretty clear that the game does not run by Ignotus' agenda alone. Although I guess we were going the godfather route anyways, so cool beans. You guys have plans about how/what we are going to do about the town?
--Edmiao 18:42, 6 January 2008 (MST) that's hillarious. we all thought that had ignotus been there, that he would never have allowed us to frontal assult Goldfarb Jewlers. None of the three characters there really expressed a strong interest in running the town at the time, it was more of a..."you wanna fight? ok, then, here it is." From Elrin's standpoint, he just wanted to have a good old fireworks celebration without goons disrupting it.
--Gdaze 21:34, 6 January 2008 (MST) It was pretty freaking sweet. We also made "allies" out of the millita as well. Well, more like they will now work for us, for a price. We also got one new merc on our side. Meaning that when Shang wants to it is possible for us to summon up an ARMY of 9 bandits, 3 mercs with rifles, 1 merc with mail/hand weapon/shield/ floppy hat boy, and if need be hire the milita to help.
That one woman who is in charge of overland commerce or whatever had been wanting the big G's postition. So we made a deal with her, we take out him and she will move in to settle things. Also we will be basically like primary officers for her, no more being the small fry. Hans also basically said that if we survive come talk to him in a week. Well with-in 24 hours of that we had done said deed so I'm pretty sure he is on our side too.
Also I propose we buy the mansion for heck-a cheap if not outright free. It would make a nice base of operations.
Ed: we should definitely pull strings to get Goldfarb's mansion and/or the farmhouse. probably both.
--Gdaze Maybe we should give one to Shang? Like as his base of operations? Personally I'm fine with living at either as both could make a good place to store our crap. I think the city "may" be a bit better because we have law enforcement there. As we've seen form the farm, it can be easily assulted.
Also if a witch hunter shows up, FUCK IT, I'm gonna fight tooth and nail to keep our crap this time! (Haha, by us ~maybe~ having a new large house, that will certainly keep us in the city!
BEN: the way it sounds to me, Holly Fuchs and the militia still remain dangerous entities: the militia because anyone with more coin than us can turn them against us, and Holly because she's power hungry. Holly is largely checked by the fact that Shang is our man, but the militia...my proposal would be to eliminate the head of the militia, then divide the militiamen between the watch and Shang's bandits. Then Jonah can be put in charge of keeping the peace, which may placate the baronness, while Shang's army grows and gives us a firmer grip on Holly and the operations of smuggling. Also, i think that we should get shang to advocate for Hans to get him to switch over as a lieutenant for Holly, since he is largely loyal to us as well. I assume y'all plundered the mansion for massive lootz?
--Gdaze -- The looting has been put off until this upcoming Friday, although we did get some coin. I really am not to worried about the Militia. Even without them I believe we have almost as many men as they do and now they fear us as well. But yeah, if we need to we could get rid of him, although I think there is someone in the Militia who was gunning for the number 1 place.
I'm not too worried about Holly besides that she may be a cultist. Granted she is power hungery but she ain't stupid. To go against Shang and us would be just plain insane on her part. I kinda like keeping her in a number one spot and while the same time keeping her a hostage.
Perosnally I'm for making the city a more peaceful place. Clearly it will not benefit us to have so much chaos about town. Something to note, we are becoming more and more popular with the people of the city.
BEN; agreed, on the peaceful. And great, on the popularity. All the more reason to roll the militia over into the watch...Jonah seems to trust us, and he actually seems, for all his idiocy and fanaticism, to be trustworthy, which makes him a fantastic pawn. Since he thinks of us as allies in the fight against evil *(snicker) he's likely to be just as willing to do our dirty work as the militia, without all the risk of bribery and underhandedness. If holly is a cultist, I would much prefer Hans in charge: cultists aren't easy to scare or control, because, as we have seen, they are fucking insane. Awesome on the looting, means I'll get my cut :)
Gabe: Indeed. Yeah we can off the millita dude if you want, might be even better to just run him out of town. I don't think Hans would want a number one slot personally but he might. He seems to be like us and not want to be in the spot light.
--Gdaze -- Another quick thought... If Holli turns out to NOT be a cultist, what about hooking her up with the baroness? Then we could help both of them despose Fryfoker. I also think we should start investigating Fryfoker, see if he doesn't have a hand in these cult happenings.
