This page is for discussion of stuff related to the game coming up this week, no matter when that actually is. For instance, we can all assume Nate isnt coming for some lame reason and that Ed is sick of pizza and is bringing teriyaki or some other crap. They can post something here if that happens to be untrue.

Attendance and Food Preference

4/11/08

--Edmiao 11:20, 7 April 2008 (MST) lame. gabe, WWolf? Me present, no pizza as usual

--Lee 16:12, 8 April 2008 (MST)I'm attending and will have pizza.

--Gdaze-- Haha, but the EYE is only two player. Its a fairly different game, more along the lines of Magi-Nation. Also I only really have two decks.

--Matts 22:48, 8 April 2008 (MST)UPDATE: I'm super-dumb and thought that something that was on Wednesday was on friday. I'll be at gaming this week. I'm perfectly willing to run the one-shot, since I don't want to have caused fruitless preparation.

BEN: um, in that case I vote campaign, just on principle. I'm still in for the one shot if that's what we decide, but as I said above, my first vote will always go to the campaign.

--Brandon 23:01, 8 April 2008 (MST) HAHA. Matt's dumb. Regardless, I won't be there on Friday. See you all next week, bitches!

--Gdaze-- What are you, bi-polar? Or a polar bear? Anyway I agree with Ben on this one, campaign > one shot. One shots are for when we got nothing else to do. So yes, lets continue with Warhammer Reboot. That said, Matt, if you ever have a big castle battle planned let me know ahead of time. I have 3 castle sets in Heroscape and I think that'd be really sweet to use it in case we need to defend our little gem in the Empire.

--71.216.15.253 08:28, 9 April 2008 (MST)Ha, I'll do that. Castle battle eh?

--Edmiao 08:57, 9 April 2008 (MST) un-be-leivable.

--Gdaze-- Sweet, even got some nice props from mageknight like cannons & catapults. Also I erased it but I'd like to join in on pizza this week!

--Dieter the Bold 12:53, 9 April 2008 (MST) Attendance remains, as does appetite for pizza. Also vote for campaign, as a ready-set-go oneshot is a great thing to have in the pocket. Still chance at seeing THE EYE, Gabe?

--Gdaze-- We'll see. More then likely if you ever swing by my place for D&D would be better. I dislike disconnecting and reconnecting my systems too much. Plus would distract from the RPin'!

BEN: I am declaring that I will not be responsible for acquiring pizza tomorrow. I'm still in to eat pizza as long as someone else takes care of ordering/pickup/delivery/whatever.

--Gdaze-- That would be hard for me to do as I pass by no good pizza places unless you all want take and bake!

--Edmiao 08:52, 11 April 2008 (MST) i can pick up pudge for you losers if you want, even though i am not eating any. you would have to pay me back, unlike ben's perpetual gift of pizza to all you losers. or are you actually paying for your pizza these days and not making the poorest of us all foot the bill? Gabe should get free pizza in return for the perpetual services from his family to the group.

--71.216.15.253 08:54, 11 April 2008 (MST)I'm happy to pay for pizza except that cash is something I never have. If you pick up the pizza I'll have duckets for you, if you don't, we can order delivery. Also what's with all the loser talk? Glass houses, etc.

--Edmiao 09:04, 11 April 2008 (MST) so I'll let you order in, checks are a pain. did i break your glass house? if so, my sincerest condolences. will bring some super glue tonight to try to mend it.

--Gdaze-- I think it is Ed's half Chinese side is mad at all the trouble China is attracting right now so he is taking it out on us... Ed, give in to the green, give into capatalism! Either that or he is trying to get in a Jacob mood. I gotz the cash. I am tempted to bring THE EYE.

--Edmiao 11:38, 11 April 2008 (MST) what is the eye?

--Lee 11:54, 11 April 2008 (MST) Keep talking about THE EYE and I'll have to buy a PS3, the game and get a deck together. I had actually successfully avoided getting sucked in to the idea of a CCG/console hybrid until a friend of mine and I stumbled upon the Sony booth at PAX. And I've been successful in not buying it up to now because I didn't know anyone that owned a PS3. I'm running out of excuses ...

--Gdaze-- Its a game for the PS3, you put down cards and they appear on the screen, then battle it out. Its actually pretty fun but in all likely hood I won't bring it cause I'd have to disconnect it and lug it over. Plus games can last kinda long... Noelle kicked my butt last night, final score out of 3 games was her 3, me big ol'fat 0. Either way I'll be there around six for magic.

Ooooh, well watch out Lee, cuz they fight DIRTY. For example, the set 2 cards are coming out but you can't just buy those, you have to buy the "expansion" for the actual game, so 15 bucks basically just to use the new cards. If you are interested Fred Mayer was clearing out there Eye of Judgment games for 10 bucks off, then 20% off that, although I'm not sure they have any left.

The best place to get cards is either Amazon, because you can get free shipping, or if that fails hasbrotoyshop.com has everything in stock.

Ever since I saw that chess like game in the first Star Wars movie I've wanted a game like this. After reading the reviews and watching some movies I decided heck, why not get the PS3 and try it out. I can safely say I don't regret it. Bioliths are awesome. Who doesn't enjoy robots made with the express purpose of harvesting souls to power themselves so they can defeat God?

Monthly Board Gaming Day

--Edmiao 07:45, 4 April 2008 (MST)how about Saturday April 12?

--Lee 16:56, 5 April 2008 (MST) I have a housewarming to go to that day, so I won't be able to attend if it is on the 12th. I don't currently have plans for the other two Saturdays this month.

--Jason 12:10, 6 April 2008 (MST)Rumi's friends might be having a game night on the 12th, and we havent gone to one of her friends gatherings in a while, so I will probably be there, unless it doesnt materialize.

--63.226.217.71 15:39, 6 April 2008 (MST) no prob guys. still with ben, deiter, cheryl and I, four is plenty. gabe, we played carcasone uber last weekend with cheryl's brother. it's awesome and vaguely insane. we have all or almost all the expansions to it.

--Dieter the Bold 17:24, 6 April 2008 (MST) I have 2 or 3 other friends I can drag along, so we can definitely make up enough. I just picked up Starship of Catan, which I look forward towards playing tonight. Definitely down for this Saturday. And I'm completing my BSG collection, so once Season 1 and Razor arrives, I'll have everything BSG available for loan.

--Edmiao 08:48, 7 April 2008 (MST) i have played that. it's a 2 player game as i recall, it's ok. i also have the two player settlers game and the Spacefarers of catan, which is fun but has a large luck component, like someone gets lucky and gets a space jump and wins the game, or should; nevertheless a fun game.

--Dieter the Bold 10:43, 7 April 2008 (MST)I agree that it's ok. We'll see when Ben and I have a rematch tonight (he spanked me). We'll be testing our different opening gambits against each other. He thinks the Sensor Module is the best starting move to set yourself up as best as possible. I'm thinking the Command Module is best to have the chance at the most actions. Regardless, definitely bring regular ole Settlers along with anything else you find fun. I'd love to do some more Carcassone.

--Gdaze-- Carcassone is sweet, Ed did you figure out which set has the big dudes? Is the inn by the lake one?

--Edmiao 14:24, 9 April 2008 (MST)I think it is builders and traders.

Folks, can we get a yea or nay on who is coming to this shindig?

BEN: I'm in. Turns out it was the Dalai Lama of Tibet, not the Dalai Lama of Catan.

--Gdaze-- It can't be builders and traders cause that is what I've got... ya noob. I will not be able to attend.

Ed: week of flaking. i may have overcommitted our social activities and have to bail on satruday. i can bring games for yall on friday

BEN: I'm still in on saturday...do we still have enough peoples? We could even do gabe's one shot on saturday as long as we had 3 players, although i recall gabe saying he couldn't make it.

--Edmiao 17:18, 10 April 2008 (MST) willing to bring games tomorrow (friday) for saturday, but you must post what you want by tonight (thursday) night.

--Dieter the Bold 18:28, 10 April 2008 (MST) If Gabe's running his D&D group tomorrow, I'm out. If he's not, I'm in.

GABE: No... it looks like Sunday is going to be the best time... But we aren't even sure that will work so may be next week.

BEN: alrighty, since apparently I'm the only attendee at an event I didn't even plan, I'm going to give the official cancellation to this board gaming event. If people want to get together saturday or sunday for a one shot, I'm down, I can GM or play.

--Edmiao 07:08, 11 April 2008 (MST) that my friends, was a tour de force of lameage.

The Next Step in WHFRP Reboot

WHFRP Reboot Recap

--Gdaze-- By the way, I'm taking Elrin's horse and two of Shane's pistols...

BEN: wait, what? you can have the horse, but I don't know how I feel about us stripping gear from a character that isn't actually dead. I mean, he does have 6, so it should be ok, but at least check with nate if that is something Shang would be ok with.

--Gdaze-- I thought he was counted as being an NPC? But yeah I already asked Matt 'bout he, he said it was cool. I will be able to use them after tonight's run as well. (Also I already have the two pistols I've been using them for the last few seasons!)

--Edmiao 11:38, 11 April 2008 (MST) yeah, shang is an npc, and we gave him those pistols, what we giveth we can taketh away.
