I think the empire has been a very annoying thing to Voldrath. Von Toymar is a dick, and many other people of the empire have kinda sucked. If possible he would like to see it fall, so that he can save his people from being runover and conquered like many other folks in the area. IF that means he needs to pick up a sword and fight, then so be it.
