Edward Biggs

Master Chief Edward 'Nice Guy Eddie' Biggs is the senior enlisted member of the security team on the USS Niven. His technical specialty is Tactical Operations (TO). MC Biggs has been on the Niven since its launch. He is in charge of training and certification of all security personnel as well as his technical proficiency. He is from Brooklyn, New York.

Edward received his rather unusual nickname while in his initial Starfleet training. One of the other trainees learned that MC Biggs was related to a family which was prominent in organized crime in the days before the Federation was able to eradicate such activity. After some research he began calling him 'Nice Guy Eddie', because he said it was a common moniker for the New York mafia. The name has stuck with him all these years, but is only commonly used by other enlisted personnel of Chief or higher rank.
