Scribbled out on the side of a large rock.

Mountain Mother is dead. The Night Skulls have killed her. My name is Urata, and I write this during dark times. My tribe always paid tribute to our Mountain Mother. She was strong and defended us from beasts and men. Long had the elder warned us of the Night Skulls. When we first spotted them we kept our distance, we were sure Mountain Mother could defeat them. But the Night Skulls have powerful weapons and magic. A strange man also came to the village shortly before the attack. When Night Skulls rained down fire he tried to help, although I do not trust him. Mountain Mother flew off to do battle with our attackers. Our Elder told us that she did so only if we were to escape with her 3 children. I have been charged with one of the eggs, and assigned tribesmen to help me. The Elder said I must take the strange man, he says I should trust him, that he knows a place where Mountain Mother’s kids may grow up. I will do so, even though I would rather fight. I want revenge, but a bond to Mountain Mother is more important than any desire.

It has been some time since Mountain Mother flew off to do battle, I wish I could have fought by her side, but I now prepare to escape with the unborn child.

My group is made up of the following tribesmen.

Lurara – She know how to work machines. She often repairs our weapons when they break. Although she not always able too, she is very important to our tribe. She sometimes spends more time with machines then us, even talks to them but I think they hear her.

Ratazuu – Ratazuu is a sneaky one. He always tricking people out of things, but I am glad he is in my group. He always surprises me with what he knows, he also reads a lot of human books.

Stranger – Human. He seems to be able to command elements. But I worry, I know many shamans desire dragon eggs, Mountain Mother has told us this before. I will keep an eye on him, if he tries to take egg all the magic in the world will not save him. At least he respectful to us.

Snag – My hunting hound, he is strong and loyal, I know I can rely on him.
