Garret Porter

Dr. Garret Porter- Chief Medical Officer. Born and raised in the West Berkshire Mountains, in the region traditionally known as New England. During his rotation in Boston he found that he was unnaturally aware of the most guarded emotions of his patients and coworkers. After some uncomfortable questions arose around a domestic abuse case, he decided to uproot from his practice and enroll in the accelerated Starfleet medical program in the hopes of being posted to a colony project, where he could practice in relative obscurity. His empathic ability was misconstrued for an innate talent at interpersonal dynamics and bedside manner. To his dismay, the very ability he has tried for so long to keep a secret has helped propel his career down an un-sought path; shipboard duties.
