Nathan Bedford Pershing

Nathan Bedford Pershing is the eldest son of Emmett Pershing, and head enforcer for the clan. He is a monster of a man, raised and hardened in prison, which only made him a better criminal. Locals know better than to cross him, and tend to steer clear of him out of general principle.

Nathan is tenacious and ruthless, and seems to enjoy exacting vengeance on others for any show of "disrespect," a virtue he learned at the state Pen: "Can't let people punk you without giving them a beatdown." As his namesake might suggest, he is especially fond of making life hell for blacks and foreigners. He would probably pick on Jews more if he could, but there are not many in Elma.
