Psellus III
A former colony of the Romulan Star Empire up until 65 years ago, the planet has been riven by internal political and economic strife since that time, leading to an imposition of a Federation Quarantine, forbidding member world contact and interference. A small minority of the populace still wishes to return to Romulan rule, including about half the rural population. Most merchants and upper-class want alliance with the Federation. Recent defeats for the Pro-Romulan Movement and agreements to disarm and work through a peace process have led to admittance as a Federation Protectorate.

Primitive culture on the "secondary" continent. Travel or contact with the secondary continent is forbidden.
Climate: Warm, humid and tropical on the Primary continent. Some mountainous regions.
Secondary continent is mostly desert.
Notable: Ferengi have recently established a "spa" and trading post. There are old Iconian ruins on the Secondary continent. These ruins are considered sacred by the tribal cultures there.
