Saturday Game Possibilities

This is intended for those schmoes who play in the current Post-Holocaust Deadlands game on Saturday, as well as anyone else who might be interested in a weekly game from now on (Dieter?). The games which follow are possible candidates to rotate with Deadlands, not replace it.

Why?

This page exists because we are adding new players and it would be a good idea to get their input on determining the direction of the group. I have ideas, but I need some input to determine where I should focus my attention.

What?

When we reach the end of an arc, or three weeks, or four weeks, or whatever makes the most sense, we can rotate to a new game for the same time period. Rinse and repeat.

A list will follow with all of the ideas I have been kicking around. Each of you should rank your top 4, and once everyone has voted, we will tally the results and the 4 highest scoring games will get tried. For simplicities sake, rank them from low to high, but 4 points will be assigned for a 1, 3 for a 2 etc.

Please also notate any reservations or comments here or on the discussion page. Feel free to make as many comments as necessary and call me names if you so choose.

Which?

Here are the candidates:

HP Lovecraft's American War of Independence Ignore the Hero stuff, I will be using the Deadlands system.
Exemplars As above. Roles will be necessary for 3 characters (Guardian, Omnipath, The One)
Serenity Bebop As either a reboot or complete redo. I want to use the Space Opera setting, but we can try and achieve a flavor the players would like.

JASON: Do the potential players have ideas they would like to see explored, be they genres, themes, or anything else?

Matthew: I would like to see some mixed genres. Perhaps HP Lovecraft's war of bebop independence. In this scenario the players are all jazz musicians who have discovered that the jazz movement as a whole has been taken over and corrupted by c'thulhu cultists. The primary objectives would be to play some great music and purify jazz of the evil influence of c'thulhu and its minions, thus creating new age music decades before the dawning of the age of Aquarius.
