Talk:Elemental

Ben: As I alluded to on elemental's page, I see my character reaching super-dom through his defeat by viho and company. I've left it very open what sort of rival might have been involved, and what he was using his recently purchased elemental golem for (the rival did not create Elemental). It's also up to you how elemental was defeated: there are basically two options: 1.) straight up fight, elemental loses, or 2.) viho outwits rival, goes around elemental, steals manual from rival (or captures rival, forces him to reveal the existence of the manual). Either way, by the end of it all, Viho has the Manual, which controls Elemental's memories. By wiping it clean (the book is too wierd/complex/magical for Viho to understand it deeper than that, at least at the start of the game), Elemental awakens as a tabula rasa, and turns out not to be such a bad guy. In fact, he realizes what he's done and joins the forces of good. I don't really have a good sense of what Viho would feel towards Elemental other than fascination: what a strange technology could create a robot without any moving parts or obvious power source? Elemental sees Viho as something of his savior, although he is also ashamed of what his past holds, particularly in relation to Viho.

I'm indifferent to how long ago this happened. I've given my character a familiarity with metallurgy to simulate him helping out at Viho's factory...as it has come to light, Elemental seems to be able, through some mysterious mechanism, create various compounds out of thin air, although he is still bad at controlling this effect, and Viho has been eager to put this to use.

Anyways, consider this a work in progress, just figured we could dialogue a bit about it.

--Edmiao 09:48, 9 May 2008 (MST) I think this goes well with matt's ideas of hero specific villians, and the bad guy you describe above could be both viho's and elementals, or perhaps just viho's and elemental would also have his own. regardless, it provides a nice tie in. One thing, i don't want to bash the group over the head with Viho, ie I don't want this to turn into the Viho game. that said, he should be an easy character to link folks together and i think in game I don't tend to be an over-dominant player so it should be ok. unless folks feel that Wakhan is overly dominant in WW? As for timing, under timing option 3 on the super hero page, i would suggest that Gabe's character, being young, may be a good candidate for the newbie to the super scene, thus this all above could have occured some time ago.

GABE: Sure my guy can by the young guy, but not nessary if someone else wants to be. I picked a metal dude because so far everyone else had a technology/metal aspect... I know, golems aren't really robots but they are robotish!
