--Dieter the Bold 15:40, 11 May 2016 (MST) I like the way this chapter's taken shape. Only a few notes:
Contested Checks and Tasks: The example has a gender mismatch. "Allison gets to Denoba just in time. Now she has to convince a crowd of rowdy locals not to bust through him and the few IPA deputies that have stayed on duty in the face of such overwhelming odds."

Using Action Cards: I would take an opportunity here to wax a little more poetic about the advantages of the cards. Explain that instead of countless tables, or frequent maths, all you need are the cards. Yes, they may appear intimidating at first, but take a breath and follow the guide below, and you'll soon be able to interpret multiple results of an action at a glance!

Using Action Cards->Card Layout->Lower Results: Image for Armor has APP instead of DAP

--Jason 18:19, 11 May 2016 (MST)Fixed the gender issue. As for the reasons for cards, yeah, I hope to do more once we actually test it. The feedback from the game will hopefully inspire. On the card result, APP is a valid result. Maybe I should have chosen one that includes D, since that would have all three possibilities.

--Melonberg 17:45, 5 June 2016 (MST)The example with Allison McGee under "Interpreting Die Rolls" (Ripped and altered from the deadlands manual) Uses multiple dice for a skill check. Not sure if you want to alter this to cards or use a straight Trait test for the example to get across the point you want to make. However, using dice for a binary pass/fail skill check seems acceptable. Just wanted to bring it to your attention, since I know this example has been in the text for a while now, before action cards were implemented.
